Congrats on 1800, VA!!!!:cool1:

Ya mean Bears are scared of other bears????

This Piglet would love to see green bears at the beach!!!

I'll be there this weekend,. Any bears have beach plans?

Hey...If I'm too broke to dream of WDW, I can at least dream of seeing Green Bears at the Beach.

(Of course if i call any of you and try to tell you that there really IS a Green bear on the beach, you'll know I've really been spending too much time in PD's gutter drinking Nsalz's Wine!!!

Woah, Danielle! Bear & I might have made it up that way still. If you get any closer to us, let us know.

I am so glad you are having fun on our coast. Since some didn't get to go, want to share anything that went on? :goodvibes

That's so cool! Hershey is a great little town. How are you enjoying Gettysburg? Did you do any of the Gettysburg Ghost tours?:scared1:
Your Brian seems so sweet! It is so cool that he was so up for a trip to PA which was planned around meeting your crazy limey peeps.:thumbsup2
We're home now. Sorry I didn't get to meet with the VA peeps. The drive back to Philadelphia to fly home was :scared1: , but the flight itself wasn't bad.
We loved Gettysburg. We did several of the ranger talks. No ghost tours, but we did go to the campfire program, and it was eerie. There were bats and fireflies, and someone had their dog with them, and it kept staring into the woods and growling. It gave me chills. We also did the cemetery tour, which was very low-key and touching. A funny thing, though; an old guy asked where Jenny Craig's grave was. He meant Jenny Wade. He was the first to laugh when he realized his mistake.
And thanks to all who made the sweet comments about Brian. I guess I'll have to keep him now.:cloud9:

I'm glad you made it home Safely, Danielle!!! It was so great to get to meet you!!!

My daughter did the cemetary tour and loved it...we have a thousand pictures of it. She loved showing me the pictures and tell me which grave and which monument was what. Glad you are home safe!:goodvibes

Thanks for the congrats and MAJOR congrats back at cha!!! _14_ nites and DEE-lux dining plan!!!!! I"m so glad you are doing it up right!!

Well, I sure hope Em is doing well, quickly - poor thing. I assume she is having an MRI soon to rule out, or in, the tumor? Was she having syptoms to suggest the tumor....if so, those syptoms can be similar to a lot of other things too. Nice thing is a lot of pituitary tumors are very slow growing and most often benign - can really be a non-issue. She might not even have to wait on school. No matter what, we are thinking about her and you, ofcourse!:)

Happy Week ALL!!!!!:goodvibes

I can hardly wait for the trip to see the duck -- if I eat enuff i might just waddle like him :rotfl2: it only took 1 night to convince John that is the ONLY way to go. More than likely we won't be back for many many many years

Em is going for a MRI as soon as a slot opens up (lucky that one just arrived in the city a little over a year ago) Her symptoms are nothing more that extremely high levels of prolactin and since she is neither preggers nor lactating there is no reason. She is also gaining weight with no reason so it seems to point to the pituitary gland, but what do I know eh?

She is panicking about school anyway, the anxiety she suffers from doesn't help any! LET"S ALL HOPE THAT she actually makes it thru the 1st week or so (crossing every digit i have)

Hope everyone enjoys the last weeks of summer

Crossing all my digits for her too!

The first week or 2 of school is always the hardest.

I remember I couldn't wait to get out of the house and start college. The first 2 weeks, I was begging to come home. By week 3 I had made some great friends, and was loving the college life.

hi all just checking in.. things are ok.. i wrote all my feelings down in a journal and it helped a little.. we still have not found a house. the house's are gross and scary. work is crazy the kids are off the wall one more week and its vacation time for 2 weeks then back i go to all new kids in my class. well see ya soon

 It will work out ok, Ducky!!

Thanks for the good thoughts gang! Em is getting a tiny bit excited -- we ordered her a DELL cause we can get a purple one (oh the things we do for our kids) -- oh and John knows the specs will match all of her needs (including Guitar Hero -- have to have your priorities in line lol), have a great laptop back pack for her to use and today went and bought the Printer. Last thing we need is a cell phone.

Have bunches of stuff for res now, dishes cutlery, a few extras , huhm i don't think I shared the specs about her "room" but i won't bore you unless you want to hear.

Weather sucks right now .. hot & humid then pouring rain -- we have had more rain already than any ENTIRE summer ever on record and we still have most of August to go , Ducks do love water but stuff is getting mouldy outside.

We're the opposite. We have had so little rain lately, they're talking about rationing. I've cut my lawn watering to 10 minutes, 2x a week. It is mostly brown, w/just the slightest hint of green. I hope it doesn't totally die.

:thumbsup2 for Em. Julia said she is nervous about college. I did not get off to a smooth start, nor did DH nor DS. No wonder my kiddo is worried. and pixiedust: for both of our girls.

I hated university -- in fact the only thing I got out of it was my MRS! I met John the moment i stepped out of the car and it was a blessing, he made those 1st few weeks (slipped into years) wonderful.

Em is gathering the things she needs and it is helping her a bit. She is seeing her cousellor 2 times a week now till school and we have set up appointments evry Friday once school starts so she will have that to look forward to when the going gets rough.

I hope that Julia is able to settle in smoothly!

Hey, Duck! I was looking up trivia night at our local pub, and clicked on a link for the game, called Pub Stumpers. When I clicked on it, they said they are starting the game at the Fox and Fiddle in Guelph. http://www.pubstumpers.com/web/pubs/pubinfo.asp?id=107
So if you and John are looking for a night out, that might be a fun thing to do.
We are going (to our local pub, not Guelph) to play a week from tomorrow.
