DD signed up for orientation today. She also applied for housing. Exciting stuff.

Mom is home and on many medications to keep the pneumonia at bay. She's doing better every day.(Hey, I'm a poet and don't know it.)

HEY LOOKIE .. slipped under 1 year 7 months

Hey all. I got the results back on the MRI, it is showing 3 new herniated discs but none are bad enough to need surgery. They have me still taking Flexeril 3 times each day plus we added Vicodin (in the hopes that it won't make me drowsy like the Percocet does). I am feeling pretty sleepy though. At some point per the PA, the dr will probably want to do an injection, but he is on vacation right now, so they would rather wait until he gets back..

Glad to hear no surgery for now! Now to do lots of good stretching exercises (it is possible for the discs to slip back in w/ time...) and NO sit-ups ever again - that puts the wrong kind of pressure on bad discs! Take good care.

Well, we are just too twinny! I took today off of work to go to an alumnae luncheon at my HS. I normally don't go, but DD is a senior there, and they were invited to the luncheon to be asked to join the alumnae association. They also had a May Day prayer service that was a lot of fun and stirred up a lot of good memories.

That's how our DD got the nickname Stinkerbelle. That's why Mary and I first started talking.

Playing hookey today was so fun. It was beautiful weather, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Yeah, ya'll will have a LOT more fun having a bbq - I dont know why people try to have these fancy shmancy expensive reunions...like that means you've made it??

Its funny cuz I had never even thought about attending a reunion much less helping with one until my 15th. We were thinking something inexpensive that would include the kids. Well NOOOO, a couple of the committee members got together and voted to have a dress up night out. People could leave their kids for one night, dress up & have an elegant night out. So we did all this planning & stuff-- guess which members wouldn't buy a ticket because it was too much?!?!?! I think we charged $25 a person and $40 for couple. I think they thought they were getting in free.

This year we're talking about getting together at a bar and having a 40th birthday celebration.
