That's awesome! Sadly, we were bad and financed our trip last year, which is one of the debts that will be paid off actually in another month, I think. So now I am really working at getting everything but the mortgage and my car completely paid off before we do another trip. This being a responsible adult SUCKS, though!

Thanks. Yeah....trying not to think about it too much. but, hopefully, we'll have just as much fun w/something else. Throwing a few ideas around. Main thing is w/Papa Bear having to take 3 months off for his paw to heal he's not sure if he'll even be able to take vacation time at all this year. If he can we might even still do a cruise, but it made sense to cancel now so we could get our full deposit back.

I am staying chipper though because we are going to try for a cruise for sure in 2010 - on the worlds largest cruise ship that Royal Caribbean is bringing out next winter. Something HUGE to look forward to.

And, who knows, if WDW offers any great late summer deals we may end up back there, which would be great!!! (WE all said we wouldnt this summer, but then all said recently how we are all sad about that too....)

Not here yet. And I can't wait for the weekend. Stupid Y has me to teach 1 (one!!) class for 30 minutes tonight!! Who wants to get wet for that short a time? the saving grace is that it is a baby class and they are sooooo cute. And Krista has gymnastics tonight for the first time. So I would be going anyway, but brrrrr!

A number have gotten it, seeing the postings. They are offering it for the whole year, minus a few dates , of course. We will still go the end of August. Just gotta figure out when school will start again. 9/1 is a Tues, so who knows with our system here? Probably that Wed...sigh

I really DO hope I get that code....we used it last year for our trip and I tell you it was wonderful!!! I dont think we would have ever done Animal Kingdom w/out it - and esp w/ the economy, it wouldnt have been anytime soon. The kids it sooo much - and so did I!

This year we already decided - once we canceled the cruise - if we get a $0% code or free dining comes out that Pop is it, if we can manage.... So, glad we got our treat at AKL when we did!

Here's hoping we all get the code!!

I think that the 'research' of the Dis boards shows that free-dining is the better deal for mods and budgets and the 40% is better for deluxes. But, if you really dont think you'll eat at sit-down rest. w/out Bill there (sorry, BTW...) then the numbers might work out differently.

Here, school starts the Tues after Labor day - and Labor day is late this year, think its Monday Sept 7th... and they start on the 8th. Our scholl system has next years schd. on-line already.

I think it depends on where you want to stay...Saving 40% off of a Club Level room at a Deluxe would probably be better than free Dining, but if you are planning on a Mod. or Value, then I think Free Dining is the better deal. I guess it also would make a difference as to how many adults vs kids you have. The more "adults" on the package, the better the savings when it comes to Free dining. I'd maybe book the room with the 40% off code you have now, and then if Free Dining comes out, crunch the numbers and see if you want to switch. I know that last year, AAA let you book a package with the AAA discount AND get free Dining. Also, what TYPE of free dining will it be? I know there were some rumors out there that IF they offered free dining again, it would only be the quick service plan. I personally have everything crossed that they decide to extend the buy 4 get 3 free deal into Dec.

I saw a post with the dates it was offered somewhere out there...guess what dates WEREN'T Included???? Fortunately, we are so far out that if I get a code, I can just switch the dates. I guess really, I'm ok up until the point that I book our air.

Let me know how Krista likes gymnastics. Em has built such muscle by doing gymnastics. The balance it has given her is amazing.

You can book with the 40% now and if free dining comes out just call and they will check to see which deal is better. Thats what I did last time..

I really need to figure out the facebook thing, I signed up about a month ago, but I think I have been back out there once since then...

I know..... I dont really 'get' it either and dont get on very often....trying to fo so more though.

Been there done that for about 6 months now. Emily (like most teens) has a very active account and checks it several times a day. She then turned her dad into a "mini" junkie -- he has about 30 friends pokes around every now & then. ME?? maybe 6 friends I ONLY go on to "poke" them!! HOWEVER, about a week ago one of emily's friends turned us onto a game within Face book and i am hooked -- up till 3 last night playing it and have already signed in today to get my "pay cheque"

Daily good news? huhm really gotta stretch for that one .. Oh I got it. Watched Travelling pant movie with emily last night. Great film, nothing like a good cry every now & then right?
