New Search Software

Webmaster Alex has announced announced a trial of new search software:

We are trying a new search system. The system is actually run by an outside company called Board Tracker. The advantage to us is it should SERIOUSLY reduce server loads resulting in far less "server busy" messages and the ability of our existing servers to handle more traffic.
I will start a thread on the tech support board for this. If you see any problems please go to this thread:

It will make it easier to have all the issues in one place.

Thanks, Chuck. I was wondering if the eBay outing shut down the Search function. Anywho, how does it work? Search still isn't working.

Well, it is supposed to work similar to the old software, I think. I hope they canget the kinks worked out, it isn't as flexible. I think Alex is still working on it.

I noticed the search function for searching a members past posts has been disabled.
But if you click on view member's profile you can then click on all threads started by --- Member posts are no longer available to click on. I noticed this last night .(Saturday Aug. 19, 2006)
