New Scrapbook store in Quakertown PA ROCKS!

I am so happy to have a good store again semi near me but not too close to me! IF you know what I mean!
I got a ton of basic grey paper! Love it!
Some other goodies too! The owner is very nice and helpful and definately loves scrapping! the scrap room looked great too but just too far for me to go to....but nice comfy chairs!
Anyone in the area should definately stop in!

No idea where you are located but here are directions:

If you are traveling via the Turnpike we are the Quakertown Exit ,
turn Left heading North on Route 663 and go 2.1 Miles . We are on
the Right side at the 663 Business Center . There is a White sign
with blue lettering at the road. We are the 2nd building on the left.

If you are traveling from Route 309 , you turn South on Route 663 at
Trainers Corner. We are 1.7 Miles south of Route 309 on the Left
side.

If you are Mapquesting the address is
2415 John Fries Highway
Quakertown, PA 18951

Emilymad - This first time I tried to find this store (last owner, not this one) I drove right past it! It's in a "business center" but not the type that has offices & such. The whole thing sits back off the road a bit too. I wasn't prepared for the LSS being so "hidden" - 2nd building from the left should say "we're in the back!" LOL (At least that's what it seemed like to me.)

Oh - and not knowing where you'd be coming from....Allentown Rd is closed south of Rt 663. MapQuest didn't tell me that of course.

Just thought I'd share since I was so unprepared for what it looked like.

Hey Spinning - Is the new owner offering classes or crop nights? Maybe a bunch of us could meet at one....

RIght about the odd business center! Also the sign in the window is a big Ml and they must have tinted windows because I pulled right up thought I had the wrong store (even though I was there when it was the other scrap store once) pulled out and then back in! LOL!
piratesmate she does have crops and different things going on. For me the Friday night ones would never work. With the drive and all.
But on OCt 8th it is the offical grand opening. Suppose to be tons of fun, give aways etc...so I plan to go!
see if that date works for you!

I totally forget where you are located. But I am going to a weekend crop in Oct near Reading if you would like some info. You can go as a day cropper too!

Thanks for the info. I guess I should have said where I was located. Sorry. I am near the Plymouth Meeting exit on the turnpike so that doesn't seem like it would be too bad of a drive. I will have to check it out.

Lucky you! You are actually fairly close to me. I am in Media. You can also get there the back way 422 to 100 to 29 and then 663. Not sure if that helps you at all
I think we should all plan a little meet on the 8th!

Spinning - I'm just off the NE extension of the turnpike (maybe a mile?) - we can hear the traffic on summer evenings. But we're 5 miles from the Lansdale exit.

Oct 8th? I just promised DDIL that I'd go with her to her CMC's Croptoberfest on the 7th & 8th! In fact I was going to PM you with the info later today in case you were interested. If you're going in the afternoon, maybe I could sneak out early. (It ends at 4pm.)

hmmmm, kate has a feis on the 9th of oct in fairless hills,pa. Mapquest says it's about an hour from there. Might have to leave a little earlier. kate will just love that. maggie

well for me...the selection of paper! And one thing I love about LSS is, usually the owners are very helpful and can give you ideas how to use different stuff.
If it is a good store, which I think this one is they will be up on the lastest fades and paper demands.
They hopefully will share your passion for scrapping and be just as excited as you are about finding just the right shade or embellishment.
I also have found you can try things or can use their die cut systems for free or a small charge.
Personally this store meets my needs of what I am looking for. I use to go to Sadies sentiments in Avondale PA it was wonderful. This store isn't as nice but a close second. Sadie was into stamps, embossingand other very different mediums for card making. So I could look around for ever in there! She loved embellishments! But I have a feeling with time this store will continue to have new and exciting things to offer.
I think scrap book stores are just in a class by themselves! Hope this helps!

Thanks, Spinning for answering some of my questions. I usually take a ride into New Jersey to a store called Scrapbook Station. I love this store. It is actually a double store. They too have a bunch of tables and the staff helps a lot. I just was there and found that there are not many of the "original" staff members there anymore. So I wanted to try another place. I'll be taking the ride soon.

I've been kind of out of it all week & haven't been keeping up on the board. I was just wondering if anything more was said about a meet at this grand opening?

Is the GO a one day event? Or over the weekend? If she's doing it both Sat & Sun, I vote we have the meet on Sunday so Maggie can come! I really want to attend this meet!! I'm just trying to figure out how to manage going to both the CM event & the meet.

I think she is only doing the celebration stuff on Sat. But from what I gather with Maggie she might be able to come earlier on Sat. But right now she is stranded in N.C. Hopefully will have enough gas to get home or can find gas on Monday!

I'd hoped that she had gotten gas by now! Oh my! The price has gone up 60 - 70 cents but all the stations still have it. My in-laws said they weren't able to get one morning, but only because they were there an hour or two before the delivery arrived. Hopefully the situation will stabilize soon.

Any ideas on whether we'd meet in the morning or afternoon? Would we stay at the LSS or go out to lunch? I have no clue what is done at these meets because I've never been to one.

Has the date of Oct 8th been made official for the mini meet? If so what time and where exactly. I just got an invitation to a distant cousins wedding and want to know how to RSVP. Sounds weird but I would much rather be at this scrapbook GO and mini meet than my cousins wedding.

I don't think it's official yet. From Spinning's response above, it sounds like Maggie may be able to come up from VA early (assuming she can get gas!) and be there on the 8th - but since Maggie is stuck in NC right now she hasn't been online.

I understand completely about preferring the meet to a wedding. We recently had one we couldn't get out of & you'd probably be shocked if I told you how we were related. I won't say, though, because some family members occasionally stop by this board. LOL
