Well it’s more of a spin-off than a reboot now.

glad its only 10 episodes but wont watch it. what made that show was the interaction between rosanne and dan. and frankly abc shouldnt have cancelled the show in the first place and btw all the crew and writers had job offers when the shows cancellation was announced, they turned them down because sara promised them that the show was going to go on. at least that is what was written in variety

Of course ABC should have cancelled the show. Sponsors would have dropped like flies if Roseanne Barr had returned.

My guesses are:

1) Roseanne will die during her knee operation.

2) Roseanne will overdose on painkillers.

3) Roseanne, while being an uber diver, will get into an accident that kills her.

and ambien should have known better just like she should have. you dont mix ambien and booze. and that is what she did but she also appologised and abc is actually losing advertisers for dropping the show to the tune of at least 60 million an episode because they won't get anywhere near that for this reboot. nor will it get the ratings.

Well they were going to lose advertisers if they kept it as well. I haven’t heard any advertiser backlash with the new show one way or another

That's true. They missed out on the normal cycle to get new jobs so I'm glad they'll get checks.

People who liked the other characters. I always liked Dan and Jackie more in the original anyway. This has been done before with the show “Valerie” in the early 90’s. They got rid of the title character because of a dispute with the actress. The character had even shared the same name as the actress like this one. It was weird at first but it worked. The show went on several years without her. I think it could help them that John Goodman is such a strong actor.

Sometimes it's more than about ratings and money. It's about doing the correct thing.
