Anyways, Club 33 is a guest room, not a room in New Orleans Square.

Blue, while the room is a guest room, it is also based out of NOS. And, in the NOS square, you can see the supposed "entrance" to Club 33. For all intents and purposes, it is considered to be a room in NOS.


And Blue, If you are going to correct someone's grammar, you should not use can't. It is not proper grammer.
Now, if I had used "can't find nothing" that would have been improper.
Also, as I am almost 3 times your age with quite a bit more education behind me, I do not think that you should be correcting my grammar.

As far as this mystery room goes, I don't know. Club33 makes the most sense, but then again, guest rooms have never really been discussed as an extension of the land they are associated with (extension meaning an area within a land...i.e. VMK Gallery in NOS). Club33 is really a guest room for staff...so it seems odd that it would be discussed as though it were an extension of NOS. Hard to tell.

Actually "can't" is considered proper grammar in the general sense because it is merely a 'legitimate' contraction of two actual words. Something like "ain't" would be considered improper. "Can't" is considered informal, not improper. That is the general sense, however. Depending on what you're writing for can also determine just how proper something is. If you're writing for an academic journal, using contractions might be considered both improper and informal. On the other hand, writing for a sports column and using contractions would be considered proper yet informal. It's all relative. And don't forget that what defines proper grammar also changes over time. What was considered proper grammar centuries ago is now considered an outdated form of language (for a good example of this, read Shakespeare). All that said, just because someone is younger and perhaps not as educated doesn't mean they shouldn't correct grammar. We all make mistakes, and we all learn from others no matter what their age or education.

People shouldnt be correcting others minor grammatical slights at all. Thats just rude. Now if someone OFTEN is misspelling a word. A friendly hint would suffice there. But that statement was just rude.

Especially since "Can find nothing else" is 100% gramattically correct. There is simply nothing wrong with that phrase. Nothing. These other two statements "Can't find anything else" or "Cannot find anything else" are perfectly legitimate as well. Proper formal English would include both the 1st and the 3rd statements while "Cant" would be considered informal and would generally not be used in the writing of a book, novella or essay.

But to touch of the whole "age" thing....

What does that really have to do with anything CT? Not to nitpick, really, but we are probably about the same age, but I am sure I have "more education" than most people my age, probably more than you as well. But that does not mean that I am always right because I have more education. Grammatically, I am often terrible. My punctuation is awful. I am more eecummings than Edgar Allen Poe. But I am a published author as well, with 3 books and several entries in poetry ensembles to my credit....
