New ride at Universal?

Greetings all...prepping for our trip to Universal Studios/IOA in November and read in a guidebook that Back to the Future is closed and they are anticipating a new ride opening "late 2007". Anyone have any info on it? Any news would be much appreciated. We're heading down Nov 10-17, so will probably miss the Christmas stuff, so a new ride opening would be fantastic!

It will be a Simpsons ride but I'm not sure when it's opening.

The Simpsons ride is slated to open in the spring of 2008.

The parks will be decorated for Christmas, not too sure when all of the other festivities start though.
