The other day I had the privilege of meeting an old Disney Imagineer. He worked on many projects across Walt Disney World Resort including the opening of Animal Kingdom. What intrigued me the most about our conversation was that he is currently working on projects associated with Disney Springs. He showed me slides on his iPad that showcased concept art that hadn't been released yet to the public, as well as color swatches, decorative elements, and even the detailed stories behind each and every building in Disney Springs. We talked about all of the property wide closures happening, which opened up conversation on his current project. He told me that the closure of Cat Cora's restaurant at The Boardwalk was for a very good reason. The restaurant he is currently working on, if I remember correctly, is located in the building where Mannequins used to be. It's going to be themed around the Food Network Show - Iron Chef America and be a dining location where the entire menu will be various dishes from the famous Iron Chefs. Sounded pretty amazing to me. And I can't wait to see the end result.
Have there been an rumors about this restaurant in the past? It's quite possible that it slipped under my radar. Lol.
