New reservation -what to know

Thanks, everything is different so trying to decide if it is still worth it.

I think for the guest that visits on a regular basis (whether once a year, or more often) it can be worth it. You have to have realistic expectations and you need to compare your vacation style to what is available to see if it will be a good fit.

I have had two on property vacations since the reopening. I never was an early riser on vacation, so the later openings were not a big deal. I am rarely in the parks later than 5-6pm, so early closings were not a big deal. Even though I have an AP, I don’t park hop, so the lack of it wasn’t a big deal. So for me, although the experience was different due to masks and distancing, it was still definitely worth it. But if you are a person that stays out from the time the first park opens until the last one closes, and who does park hop every day, and would get bored hanging out at the resort waiting until the park transportation starts running (since they don’t start until close park opening), then it might not be worth it for you. Only you can decide if your touring style is a good fit for the reduced offerings.

Something else we are considering, it sounds like the boat transportation is not running, but the monorail is still running?

It depends...

Running
Express Monorail
Resort Monorail (will not stop at Poly starting 11/2)
FW-MK Resort Boat
WL-MK Resort Boat
GF-MK Resort Boat(it is not stopping at Poly like it normally would)

Not Running
Epcot Monorail
Epcot Resort Friendship Boats
OKW-DS Resort Boat
Poly Resort Boat
CR-WL-GW Resort Boat

could not agree more! I take my time in the morning, usually out of park, or having dinner by 6 and I prefer to enjoy fireworks from resort property or room (if I'm lucky). Im also a huge fan of resort only vacations and live in South Florida so I can travel with more frequency which is a blessing. if I miss something during a trip, I can come back and enjoy next time. Having said that, if I only traveled once every two years and had to invest lots of money 💰 & time planning, then YES shortened park times and limited activities would impact my decision significantly.

Yes the price isn't enough to tempt me at this point, because of the fewer offerings. The biggest detergent is the lack of transportation. The benefits of on property stays are gone, like guaranteed park admission, boats, MEH and FP so I looked into an off property stay, too. We might end up doing that because then the car rental becomes a necessary expense and I'm not paying for amenities I'm not getting.
