New resale owner… do I need to sign closing docs with Disney

Hi there,

New resale owner here. Very new. Just received my member number to access the DVC page. It said I needed to complete some steps, but I skipped past that and can’t get back to it. First step was I needed to print and sign closing documents and fedex them back. I purchased through a resale company and did all that through them. Is that not enough? It also mentioned something about a welcome home call as being one of the steps… not sure if I need to do any of that to book a reservation.

Also, I have an August use year and should have received half my points as indicated in my contract, yet it shows I have no points for 2021 or 2022. Is it normal to have to wait for points to ‘show up’ after the new membership is created?

No, there are no forms for you fill out and send back. That sounds odd.

It can take another week or more to get the points into your account once it's been created.
 
If you can see the chat icon, keep refreshing until it shows available. Chat should be able to point you in the right direction.
 
My dashboard also mentions sending back closing documents but also says skip to the later steps if you have done it already.

I don’t think any of it is relevant but I doubt it will go until you opt for the 30 min phone call
