Take a look at the newly reopened Flying Fish after its reimagining Feast on premium sustainable seafood and prime steaks at this contemporary American restaurant on Disney’s BoardWalk.

Join Pete, Corey, Kathy, Craig, Ryno, and Oliver for dinner at the just opened and newly redesigned Flying Fish restaurant at Disney's Boardwalk Inn. The group orders every appetizer, entrée, and dessert on the menu, plus a few drinks, to see if this fish really does fly.

looks really nice. Does look a bit more "upscale" than the previous version. One thing I liked about it before was that it was a big open space and thus loud by nature so it was a good "signature" to bring kids too - any thoughts on if that feeling has changed or is it still a very kid-friendly option? (I know all places other than V&A allow kids but I felt like some signatures I felt more comfortable with kids at than others).

If not, just another reason to push for our next trip to be adults only - ideally for the potential 20th anniversary board event ;) (disclaimer - which I know nothing official is set or anything but have my hopes up)

Absolutely elegant revamp of this restaurant. We stopped going a while ago when the menu remained static and dated. Better places for seafood in the area. We finally went back for a champaign dinner last October just before we went to France. It was the best meal we had in a long time at FF, so we knew the kitchen could deliver fresh, new dishes. New menu looks fabulous! So excited to try the new FF on Saturday.

Really excited about this. We went in November and absolutely loved it, so while I'm glad we got to try some amazing dishes (char crusted NY strip and red snapper were awesome), it will also be nice to see and try the new menu. Going to watch now!

We have never eaten here since I'm not a huge fan of seafood. I saw the post they put up on FB and Pete saying even though he's not a seafood eater he loved it so we'll give it a try next trip. Looks beautiful and I like the fact it's a little more expensive so you feel good dressing up.

Fantastic video! Corey is hilarious! Craig looks like he lost some weight. Looking good.

I wasn't gonna go to Flying Fish, but I might just book a reservation now.

Just watched the review video and it was making my mouth water! The beef and scallops sounded amazing and I'd love to try the espresso martini. I think I spied Deb Wills from allears.net seated near the crew at the beginning of the video.

I'll have to watch again now, didn't see Deb. :) Wouldn't be surprised - especially lately, I've seen her, Big Fat Panda, and MouseSteps in each other's videos. Made me smile to recognize them. :)

Just watched it twice again, and I was looking to the right (at the lady drinking coffee), but now I do see Deb on the left - good eye! It also said on her FB page she was there @ the same time as Pete/them, because I know she had been on an ABD Danube River Cruise last week.

We watched the vlog 3 times last night. I then cancelled our ADR at Yachtsman for our wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and booked Flying Fish instead. I do have to add that when I read the menu on the Disney site, I wasnt too keen, but actually seeing the food made a world of difference to my thoughts.

Hope you have a wonderful meal, sure looks like it. And happy anniversary (a little early).

I totally agree. I was so sad that that potato wrapped snapper was gone [and I never got the chance to get it] - until I saw all of the other incredible new menu items.

And I saw Deb Wills right away, too. That was really fun seeing her.

I think what really sold me was Pete saying it was a) worth the money and b) that the food looked like art but wasn't pretentious.

I find my favorite places are the ones that worry about all the details and have super high quality food but are not pretentious and still down to earth, etc. (one reason I love V&A as that despite how fancy it is the waitstaff is totally down to earth)

Maybe I'm just bitter that they didn't bring back the snapper and the crab cakes, and I'm sure some of this is because Pete said he's not a big seafood person, but I really don't like to focus on things like pork belly, wagyu, or bison when I'm booking a seafood restaurant. I also don't like to look at tuna or salmon in a traditional seafood restaurant as those tend to be the key seafood options you find on menus everywhere...i.e. those are often the fish options at a place that isn't seafood specific. That's not to say they aren't wonderful, but I want the innovative and unconventional seafood options to be what makes you say WOW. I know everyone was pretty positive about everything they had, so it's just a concern that it sounds like the things they liked the very best weren't seafood.

And the Hidden Mickey guy was seated across from her...lol

Great look into the refurbed menu and place! Definitely makes me want to try it. It looks like the BW/BC version of California Grill which we will be sure to visit. We are all for great tasting food at WDW - sometimes it's been hard to find, sad to say.
