I'm so excited!! My friend just returned from PA where she went to breed her Dobergirl(my girl's sister). It was a success!! She spent a lot of money and time to get her dog ready for breeding. I have learned so much and had no idea what was involved to properly breed a dog. Before she even went down to PA,she made sure she would have good homes for all the pups. All the tests that were done and research on pedigrees to find the perfect male! He is a beauty with a wonderful temperment to match!! So,now we wait........hey,I think this calls for a countdown thingy!!!!!

Definitely need a countdown! Please post a pic when the "baby" is born. I could look at doggie pics all day and not get bored.

WooHooo! How exciting!

Good for your friend for "doing it right"! Breeding is not for the faint of heart for anyone who wants to cut corners! There is a wonderful board for mentoring breeders she may be interested in...PM me for details. There are some great posts there on all the things to do before birth and how to properly socialize the pups starting from day 1. I have learned a LOT and hope to put it to use soon.
