I just saw the new promotion for GCV on dvcmember.com. 4 free annual passes (2 for DL and 2 for WDW) with a 100 point add on.

We did a 100 point add on earrlier in the year and got the free cruise incentive which I am excited to go on next month. But the AP incentive is great incentive however they should really let you get all 4 AP at DL if you prefer.

Offer requires current Members to purchase an Add On equal to 100 or more vacation points at The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® and, if financing, make monthly loan installments and be in good standing on their Add On for up to fourteen (14) months (based on down payment and length of loan) before receiving their two (2) Walt Disney World® Annual Pass ("WDW Pass") and two (2) Disneyland® Resort Premium Annual Passport ("DLR Pass") Exchange Certificates ("Certificate"). Offer expires January 31, 2010. Members are not entitled to the Certificates until all necessary payments are made and failure to make all payments and fees will result in forfeiture of the Certificates. This offer is only valid for The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. Limit one offer per Membership. Certificates are non-transferable, non-assignable, and may not be sold, traded, transferred, encumbered, bequeathed, bartered, refunded or redeemed for cash and shall be void if sold or otherwise transferred for cash or other consideration. Certificates will not be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged. Each original WDW Pass Certificate may be used for the redemption of one (1) adult WDW Pass while each original DLR Pass Certificate may be used for the redemption of one (1) DLR Pass, according to the terms and conditions set forth on the Certificate. Original WDW Pass Certificates can be redeemed for a child WDW Pass, but no credit for the price difference will be issued.

Original Certificates used to obtain a DLR Pass must be redeemed by June 30, 2011, at any Disneyland Resort ticket window. Valid photo identification is required. Each DLR Pass obtained through this program is valid for one year from the date the Certificate is redeemed and provides unlimited admission, excluding separately priced activities and events, and arcades, to Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure® Park, subject to restrictions including, but not limited to, Annual Passholder terms and conditions, capacity constraints and operating hours.

Original Certificates used to obtain a WDW Pass may be redeemed at any time at any Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket window. Valid photo identification is required. Each WDW Pass obtained through this program is valid for one year from the date the Certificate is redeemed and provides unlimited admission, excluding separately priced activities and events, to Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios™ and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park; and Theme Park parking and access to special Passholder events; subject to restrictions including, but not limited to, capacity constraints and operating hours. WDW Passes and DLR Passes are nontransferable and must be used by the same person on any and all days. Offer subject to change or termination without notice. Restrictions apply.

This promotion is good for purchases at AKV also. You can choose 2 passes for Walt Disney World and 2 passes for Disney Land Resort or all 4 passes for Walt Disney World or Disney Land Resort.

I called my guide and he is tryinig to find out the price.

Is it $112 and 4 AP's, or is it like the old offer of $112 minus $17 and 2 AP's.

Has anyone else called yet to find out price?

The price is $112 per point for GCAL (min. 160 points for new purchaser)(min. 100 for members) and AKV (min. 100 points for new purchasers & members). You can either take the $15 per point credit or the 4 annual passes, not both. There are additional credits for larger purchases.

Good to know, possibly a good deal to those who want an AP for the first time or have allowed theirs to expire. Thanks!

But when comparing to the discount of $15 * 100 = $1500, the APs loose their luster:
4 DVC AP renewals will come to nearly the same cost: $366.36 * 4 = $1465.44

My guide called and this deal is not as good as the last one.

This one $15 off 50 pts.
100 pts 4 AP's no money off.

Last offer $17 off 100 pts
$15 off 50 pts.

I was looking for 100 pts so this is not as good for me.

I'll keep looking maybe something better will come up.

I like the offer as we are about to pay more anyway. However, I'd prefer to be able to get the APs before 14 months of payments! That's a long time. wow

OK, so my guide decided to call us to let us know that as new members at AKL ( we don't own anywhere brand spanking new) we could get 160 points with a 15$ credit pp OR 8 AP'S!!!!

Yes I said 8 AP'S!

OOOORRR

For 220 points you could get $4 credit per point AND 8 AP'S! They are actually vouchers with no expiration. Those were her words! She said nothing of having to wait for 14 months.

Now AKL is not my favorite DVC... BLT is however this deal seems to good to pass up! What do you seasoned DVC'rs think? :confused3

The APs are 4 for WDW and 4 for Disneyland. They have a value of about $400 each, making the AP offer worth roughly $3200. On a 160-pt contract that's about $20 per point savings, which makes it a nice deal compared to the $15 cash reduction.

However, note that you DO have to wait up to 17 months before you will get the vouchers if you finance the purchase through DVC and the Disneyland vouchers must be redeemed by June 30, 2011. Fine print can be found HERE.
