I have been wanting a fountain in a certain area for a couple of years but there is no nearby outlet for electricity and I really don't want to run a long extension cord or put in a line underground. This would be an easy solution...if it works well. Could something like this really do a good job?

I had one similar to the copper one shown on the lefthand side of the page you linked. Mine was double bowls and made of terra cotta. The solar panel worked well, but be advised that it does not STORE the sunlight (like solar lighting does) and therefore, WILL NOT work on a cloudy day. If it's a sunny day and a cloud passes overhead, it will stop working until the cloud clears.

I really liked my fountain and got a lot of compliments on it. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring it inside last winter and the terra cotta bowls cracked from the cold.
