I'm going to Orlando for business Sept. 19-23 and then staying for pleasure until Monday night, Sept. 26. DH is flying down to join me part-way through the week. As neither of us have been to Orlando before, I'm very confused!

We have no children along this trip, so I'm interested in which of the parks are best for adults. DH loves roller coast type rides, so I'm sending him to IOA on Thursday while I'm still in my conference. We want to try and see 3 parks the remaining days -- what would your recommendations be? We do live in Utah and have been to Disneyland several times, if that makes a difference.

TIA for any suggestions!

Epcot for sure, although there are no rollercoasters here.

At IOA, be sure to have him experience Spiderman. It's my favorite attraction at IOA. I also like Jurasic Park and dueling dragons.

We're planning on Epcot for sure, and probably Disney MGM. My main question, I guess, is between Universal Studios and Magic Kingdom. We've been to both in California -- Disneyland a couple of years ago (since California adventures was built) and Universal probably 10 or 12 years ago. I'm just stuck on choosing between these 2 -- we probably won't have a full day at either one, more like 7 hours on either Friday or Monday. Between those 2, which would you choose?

OMG, you have so much to learn about before you go.
BE SURE to get Fastpasses as soon as you walk in for the best rides.
MGM would be The Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller coaster. They're right next to each other and they're awesome. Epcot would be Soarin', Mission Space and Test Track.

I agree-Disney. If you weren't able to ride ToT at DCA (it's only been open since last year) then you (especially your DH) need to ride it! Also-RR is a very intense coaster-but great-similar (somewhat) to Screamin' at DCA-but all inside.

We'll (me-DM, my DM, and DD6) be there Sept. 18-24th :cheer2: at POFQ-maybe we'll see you around the world.

If you hadn't been to the MK in Disneyland, I'd say go there. But since you have, I'd recommend Universal Studios. Do not leave Orlando without seeing the Terminator show at Universal.

Have a great trip!

Between MK and Universal if you have been to Disneyland? No question...Universal, more specifically, Islands of Adventure...don't miss Spiderman (IOA) and/or Men in Black and Terminator (at US).

IOA has lots of thrill rides if you have to choose between US and IOA. IOA has the Hulk (similar to Rockin' Roller Coaster, only outside and much more massive) and Fire 'n' Ice (dueling coasters) and also Doctor Doom's Freefall (shoots you up to the top and drops you while you sit in a stable, harnessed seat). The very very wet water ride, Bluto's Boatworks (or something similar to that name) is wonderful, but you so totally WILL get wet...as you will on Duddley Do-right's Ripsaw Falls ride...but not as wet. Jurassic Park's dino ride is another fun one, but not as intense as Hulk, Doom or RipSaw Falls, in my opinion. There is also a great Sinbad show that has all kinds of great effects...as well as a dark experience that is called Poseidon's somethingoranother...can't remember what, but it was a great magical effect walking tour.
