To the OP, Since you felt the need to start the thread with a personal attack you lost all crediblity with sentence number ONE.

The main thing I always get from threads like this is AMAZEMENT at the level of "prejudice" that still exists.

CDizney - if I were a mod, I would have banned you the second you made that crack about the Irish...but this is just ridiculous. I don't think anyone on this board has the least bit respect for you...

Also - regarding that personal attack... I would have had you pegged for a high school teenager... if you really are married, I truly feel sorry for your husband to have a wife of such immaturity and ignorance. Hope I don't see you at WDW.

If you experienced "rudeness" during Gay Day at WDW, then what you experienced was typical human nature and is not because the people you encountered were gay - it's because people are people. There are good and bad among everyone. I have no doubt that you did indeed encounter some rudeness - but it's because you ran into RUDE people, not GAY people.

As I said on the other board,I don't believe it.. Physical and verbal abuse by people at GD? Repeated incidents of it,and they all happened to her.If this sort of thing happened on a regular basis,it would be all over every Disney board.. And I don't believe for a second that Disney CM's would put up with the sort of rapant abuse the OP is talking about..Someone has an agenda.. I don't care if people go to gay day or not. People have the right to not expose themselves and their children to things they disagree with,but I think its quite clear there is more going on with this OP,who even had to make sure her little tale of woe was found in 2 different threads

While I agree that Lindsey's response to you wasn't necessary, I honestly feel you are overreacting. Also, I understand your point about GD. PC or not, It is OK to not want to see certain things when you are out in public. We're going over GD but you have said nothing wrong by pointing out the things that bothered you. If somebody tells you that you are wrong for that, they are the ones trying to force their opinions on you.

Well, considering how many times I have wanted to buy HETROSEXUAL couples a hotel room I find it funny that only "Gays" are lewd LOL! Lets see I was run over by a man in a wheel chair recently (I was STANDING beside a trash can so it's not like i was in the main path. His response.. called me names that should NEVER be said in public. He was with his wife.... So "Gays" are not the only rude folks.

I am a hetrosexual... I don't care who you sleep with I don't want to see you making out.

Personally I wonder if the people who find them rude, lewd etc.. are sterotyping..

The reason why I said what I did on the other post is because the OP simply asked when gay days was. She didn't ask what went on there, good or bad. Nothing. She didn't want to go during this event and wanted to know when it was.

The question was answered and then responses began with "experiences" during gay week. I was pointing out to EVERYONE, not just CDizney, that this wasn't what the OP was asking. And if you look at that thread, you will see exactly what it has deteriorated to.

I PMed the mods to lock/remove this thread. I did not appreciate seeing my screenname displayed right on the main Theme Park and Attractions page in such a hostile manner. I told the mods if they wanted to keep the thread that's fine. Just get rid of the personal attack.

I have a level of respect for her because she's sticking to her beliefs. then she endures namecalling like ignorant and immature. who's truly making a personal attack? I may not agree with how she states them, but it's nice to see people stand up for their opinions anymore.

CDizney I'm sorry you have been attacked in such a childish manner by people who will only see what they want to. Growing up in south Florida I saw this type of behaviour all the time by gay people (long before it was stuffed down the rest of the country's throat to accept if you didn't want to be hung from the nearest tree for being unPC), also by straight people who had there own little cliques and agendas . Rude behavoir and physical attacks can come from any type of person, but when others defend it because it is perpetrated by their pet group (gays, muslim jihadists, inner city minorities) it is just really sick and makes you feel violated all over again. Enjoy your next WDW trip and .

Every year this topic creeps up on us, and every year we need to issue the request that everyone PLEASE be respectful.

We all have an opinion, and sharing it is a not problem.

Problems come into play when we get derrogatory about OTHER people's opinions.

There's a world of difference between:

"I respectfull disagree with you, Joe."

and

"Joe, you IDIOT! I COMPLETELY disagree with you! That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!"

The first example is what we're looking for when you disagree with somebody.
