We have a retirement home in Port Richey, FL, next door to NPR. Winter weather is much better here than Wisconsin! It has been cold some years and you can't heat up a house here like you can up north. Floors stay cold because they are basically cement underneath, but all in all you will be warmer down here MOST of the time. Look carefully before buying. Some trailer homes are not insurable depending on their age. We have been shocked by the cost of homeowner's insurance in Florida and the limited amount of coverage available. I sometimes regret buying here. Good luck! Cost of living here is much higher than Wisconsin - food, gas, etc. From what we hear, prices jump in the winter due to the snowbirds. We do bring money into the area! There are LOTS of trailer parks in the area, some you own your own land, but most you don't. Good luck with your search!
