It's pretty much the same as the walk on water bug. The walk on water bug is caused when you don't walk over the "splash area" instead you walk past it and don't fall into the water. When you come from the room it starts you off standing up, when you walk past, you get the walk on water. When your in your slide a few seconds(?) later and you walk past it you stay on your raft.
