On August 4, 2025, Disney declared 12 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at Island Tower. This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 72 to 84. There are still 138 vacation homes at that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney. The declared inventory accounts for 1,403,596 points, which is 38.9% of Island Tower’s 3,608,934 estimated total points. What percentage of the Island Tower has been declared now?
Help a DVC noob understand how this helps availability. Isn't it the case that the rooms are added to bookable inventory when the points are sold? Or are the rooms bookable immediately upon declaration? If the latter, that would be awesome for current owners (like me!)Good news for availability!

Wow this seems very fast, do you know if this is the "normal" length of time a resort without extenuating circumstances (ie covid) sells or is this selling faster because of the popularity of the resort? On August 4, 2025, Disney declared 12 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at Island Tower. So if the new declaration is 23, moves it to 107 declared with 115 still to go, so somewhere are 45% maybe a little more.
Size of declaration and sales pace seem to be the main factors.Wow this seems very fast, do you know if this is the "normal" length of time a resort without extenuating circumstances (ie covid) sells or is this selling faster because of the popularity of the resort?
