New Poly Pool and balcony pics 2-9-16

Hmm, I guess I just expected more...On the positive side, at least they added another hot tub.

The East Pool was never designated a quiet pool, it’s just what many call it. It even had a water slide for a short period. The new Oasis Pool is an oval like the old one but larger and in a totally different location. It actually sits where the old bathrooms and showers were. So they did not go cheap. You may consider it boring but they spent a lot of money on this new pool area.

I think they did a nice job. It does have zero entry and there are bubblers in the water at the shallow end. I think it goes to just below 4 feet deep at the deepest. Disney will not allow deep pools to be constructed anymore which is why the East pool was made shallow in 2011.

Thanks for clarifying...

From the pictures being provided...it appeared to be a "traditional" pool in the same spot...that could have just been the angles.

If what you're saying is true and it's a complete redo with zero entry and all the facilities are new...I'm more than satisfied with that.

It just seemed like the old pool from the shots and there seems to be no "concept" art ever produced that explained the layout properly.

It makes more sense this way

Yes it is in an entirely different location and orientation. I watched them rip out the old one. I posted the construction layout on my Tikiman Facebook page last year and you can see from that the new location and orientation from that. It is kind of cool because not only is it zero entry but the water around the whole pool comes up level with the pool deck so it’s like there is no ledge. They also did a nice job with the new bathrooms and the Bar and Grill building so there is much more there than before. They still have all the furniture to add to the area also but it’s a few weeks from opening I am told.

God I'm hoping they add a whole bunch of umbrella tables around this new pool. Something that is seriously lacking around the new Poly feature pool IMO. The new Lava Pool deck looks like a cruise ship pool with so many lounge chairs piled on top of each other.

Never thought about that. I suppose these covered spots will have tables if you can find a spot.

There is a large covered deck at the main pool to eat at though, so that helps there.

Well...that's if you can tolerate the Mike Brady designed color patterns ;)

My first two thoughts are there is slot of space...which isn't the case at the other pool.

The second is that there's no cover...so it's gonna be HOT. Feet beware.

The no lip pool is interesting...not sure if that's a good idea or lifeguards nightmare.

I see what your saying now from the video...they moved the pool towards the lagoon and flipped where the bathroom was to account for the grill. Makes sense.

Looks good.
