New policy related: What day have you typically checked in?

Before the change in booking we typically would check in on Sunday through Sunday, spending the first Friday and Saturday night at Hard Rock Hotel and the second weekend at DVC.

Now.. we will check into DVC on Friday through Thursday, spending the last weekend at Hard Rock.

Same amount of days, same points, just flipping the Hard Rock Stay to the end of our vacation, to increase our odds for getting what we want at DVC.


SOooooooooooo I am not sure how to vote since we used to be Sundays which people think is bad for the new system, or do I vote for what we are going to be doing now?

We check in on Sundays, stay 8+ nights on points - but try to avoid staying more than 1 Friday and 1 Saturday (to get good use of our points). This also gives us a break from getting off of work on a Friday and having a whole day to settle out and pack for our big trips.

So I will vote Sunday, but it's not an issue at all for us to switch things around to a Friday check in

Since we check in with DVC, we try to check in mid-week so that we only use points on ONE weekend. We tend to take 8-9 day vacations and don't want to spend the extra points one TWO Fridays soo...

On the few occasions we've stayed at a regular resort, then all bets are off and we'd check in "whenever".

I picked Tuesday on the poll, but we actually usually check in midweek, so either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Same here but I picked Wed in the poll. If we aren't there mid-week, it will be a Saturday when we check in. That's rare though.

Us too. Mostly Sundays, but have also checked in on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Never on Monday or Tuesday. So, I voted Sunday.

I check in on Wednesday or Thursday and stay til Wed or Tues. I use my points for the entire time. I don't like to change rooms so I just use my points for it all.

I voted Monday because 2 out of our 3 prior DVC trips we checked in that day (the other was a Wed). On both of those trips, Mon was a relatively last minute addition and we had to WL for that 1 night. For one trip, we finally got the night the day before we arrived and on the next trip, we never got it.

However, my next 2 trips are scheduled for a Friday check (only 1 of which was influenced by the new policy). If the airline eliminates our direct flight causing us to arrive at MCO in the late evening, we will seriously consider cancelling our first night, staying at the airport and checking in on Sat. -- Suzanne

I'm not sure how to vote..
We typically stay at 2 or 3 different resorts each trip, including Vero. Sometimes Vero is in the middle of stays at VWL and AKV.

We usually start the whole trip on a Sunday, but because we stay at 3 resorts that's irrelevant to our booking patterns.

We usually checkin on Tuesday, sometimes Wednesday, because we seem to get better airfare when traveling those days. Also, we usually stay 8 nights and that way we only have to use weekend points once per trip.
