I think that given your criteria of a nice hotel with a great free continental breakfast with a good location, you should consider the Comfort Suites Maingate East. If you do a search on this boards, you will find many recommendations for this hotel. I have stayed there twice in the past 2 years.

During your time frame, the room rates will range from $48 to $58 for a room with 2 queen beds. These rates can be secured by checking with www.hotelmartusa.com and then reserving thru www. choicehotels.com and filing a rate guarantee form. If you need help, please post your questions.

Have a great trip:wave2:

will you have a car....or are you walking everywhere???

I've never had a bad Country Inn and Suites Room. I actually try to stay in them.

I've heard that the Calypso Cay CI &S is pretty nice. It definetely looks nice on the website. I have heard that there isn't many things nearby if you don't have a car.

The first Country Inn sounds nice also. I think the extra $5 in difference is really just location. Would you be using the pools?

fairytink...

Just checked the rates on Hotelkingdom.com for the Country Inn and Suites @ Calypso Cay for October and found a rate of $60 plus some change for most nights. We almost stayed there a couple of years ago, but found a better deal at another resort.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

I am not very familiar with any of your choices, but for that price range and no kids, I would book something I could cancel and keep an eye out for discounts on a Disney moderate. The moderate resorts (port orleans, caribbean beach, Coronado springs) get great reviews! They are often discounted. Mousesavers.com has up to date info. No free breakfast, just a food court. Ask on the resorts board about the plusses of staying onsite.

Your 4 offsite choices sound good too! :)

We loved our stay at Country Inns Calypso Cay. It is only about 2 miles from DTD and about 15 minutes from Sea World. We drove by the other CInn's and didn't like the location as much.

I am not familiar with your other choices.

we just got back from our stay at the sheraton safari. We loved it!my kids loved they python water slide and i loved the beds! they are queen sized and there called sweet dreams(i think) the most comfortable hotel beds i ever slept on.it is 5 min from DTD and 10 min or so from the parks.lots of restaurants around.I don't know if you are a AAA member or not but i am and i got great rate of 59.00.Also if you join spg.com(which is free) you get an upgraded room(the one we had normally was 109.00) and points for staying there.Hope this helps.

Although not on your list, we have stayed at Hampton Inn Maingate West the last three to four years. We found that this Hampton is very clean and has large rooms. I find if you call the Hampton itself and talk to someone in authority, they tend to "deal" with you on price...depending on time of year. We will be at that Hampton on 8/27 at $54.43 including tax.
Good Luck
