New Planning DVD

I just received the new vacation planning DVD....I really, really don't like it. They jump from scene to scene wayyy to fast for me. I know today's world has a short attention span, but for us "old farts" (I'm 44), slow it down a little.

The update and use of video instead of film is great, but I was getting dizzy watching it. They didn't spend enough time on one item.

I haven't received mine yet, but I am really looking forward to getting it!

That said, I have gotten them in years pasts and they do tend to jump around a lot, but hey, it's free! (They do have a lot of ground to cover.) After I watch it a few times (to hear everything), I like to pause it and take a nice slow look around. Especially when it comes to the resorts, I like to try to get a better feel for the rooms.

Wow - I'm 44 and I love it! I think its a great change over the past few years - they were all almost identical.

next years will probably be somewhere in between.

Well, I'm 23 and I agree with the original post. It almost made me dizzy the way they moved camera angles around. I thought it was too wiggly, you couldn't focus on anything. That being said, it's a Disney planning video, so I am not too upset about it.

Yep, I agree with the OP too. I like the content, but they don't give you a chance to focus on anything. Way to fast for me too.

I thought it moved a little fast myself. I really liked the DVD but I thought that they could have moved a little slower in the resort part. I am trying to figure out where I want to stay but it moved so quickly - did kind of make me dizzy.

I got mine last weekend, and I too thought it fast and jumpy. And the planning cd, well just log on to disney.com and thats about all, it just jumps to the web site. I was dissapointed in it. Of course if they showed you everything, why would you go! I still would! I'm trying to get my dd intrested in WDW, she has no idea what it is...and the planning cd just in my own opinion did not help.

Yeah I was very disappointed. I liked the years before.They seemed more sincere and magical. This one might be great for a ten to watch but as an adult, i didn't care for it. It did jump around and gave different angles alot. They seemed to look down at the camera alot more than straight ahead. But it is Disney I guess so I can't hate it.

We just got ours today.
While it was great I thought it just moved around at times way too fast.
It sure was nice to see new things though.
I still laugh when I think about watching last year's dvd. Some of the scenes were the same with the same little kids as the video tape I got in the mail in 1995.

We got ours a few days ago and as soon as Josh can drag me off the computer, we're watching it!! I'm actually waiting for our snacks to get done so we can turn the lights off and eat snacks and watch our "movie"!!!

I thought it was fast and jumpy too. But solid in a strange way. My mother is a bit "A.D.D"ish and cant really sit through anything. So Im hoping this video will persuade her to want to go with us! I think it might be a bit of a blessing on my end. I too enjoyed the previous, longer videos. Either way, they gotta change it up to please equally right?

This year's has different little kids...my baby is in this one!

It does jump around fast, but I love the quality of it!

I have to agree. Someone posted how great it was and it was more "documentary" like. I will admit I didn't find them as annoying as I thought. I think they did a poor job covering the Resorts too!

I totally agree!!!! I'm only in my early 30's (not quite at old fart stage yet) and I really don't enjoy it. My 2 boys don't care for it either. We all prefer to watch last year's version!

I agree with the original poster....I found it way too jumpy! I couldn't look at the TV while it was on - I got motion sickness! I just listened to the dialogue. I like the older planning videos better. Just my opinion. It certainly won't stop me from visiting WDW....it's always nice to see anything new on WDW!
