Yeah, luke was a little annoying, but the bench dude, aahhhhhhhhh..... The only thing i gained from him was learning that bench's are included in the price of admission. lol. ugh!

but i still watch it tons of times. The planning videos are my anti drug....

Actually he does almost everything on the resorts if you go to the extras, as well as the "Disney for Adults" section, and for those I think he's a lot more "selling" than any of the others would be.

We like Dave.

We really liked Dave too. When at Disney we dont visit commando style so maybe thats why.
We also like Erin, shes alot of fun. The other girl is nice too (her name is on the tip of my tongue) but I have to agree no more Luke. I do wonder what preteens/teenagers thought since I am assuming that is who he was geared for

We love Dave

last May when we were there - we saw Dave and Luke filming on Main Street - my DD4 FREAKED out -

"there's Dave" and she went running over to him and said "You're in my TV" he loved having her gush all over him - then he told her there's Luke - she wasn't as impressed with him!!

He was laughing with us and asked if maybe we had watched the planning DVD a time or two -

um - maybe!

My Ds loves Luke! I don't know what the pre-teens or even teens, think about him, but my 5 year old thought he was funny.....that's telling right there!LOL But I'm more of a Dave (thank you BT!) person myself! The planning video is almost like torture to me! It makes me want to hop a plane RIGHT now! But it sure does help with that much needed Disney fix in between trips!

My DS7 also thought Luke was cool and he doesn't like Dave. My wife and I are both Dave fans. I can't imagine any teenagers actually acting like Luke. If one of my kids talked that way I'd be horrified. I've never seen so many "Sweet" things at Disney. Erin's not too bad either except for the part when she's chasing the Stich back pack. That's just too dorky.

Overall, we really like the planning DVD and can't wait for the new one to come out. I sure hope someone posts when that time comes.

ICK!! I hope Disney goes back to the way they USED to do their planning videos... with NO hosts. Or one that hardly showed themselves at least. I HATE HATE HATE this new format!

I think Luke is intended more as a character, rather than a real person. (Same for Dave, for that matter)

And I think kids like Luke. I asked my DD7 what she thought of Luke, and she said "Yeah, he's cool." Of course, a few minutes later, she said, "He's just pretending to be dumb."

Luke's antics ("Teamo Supremo!" "That's what I'm talking about!!") had a different effect on DS4. Whenever they'd show Luke near a new ride, he'd ask "Is dat what he's talking 'bout?"

I loved the planning DVD. Didn't use it for planning... just to watch the magic again and again...

Unfortunatly I cannot get the DVD in Belgium. Ebay being my source ... so Yes, I pay for the DVD (although last time I only paid $1 for the DVD, it was the shipping that did it)

I'll get the new one... can't help it. I NEED it (I am such a Disney Geek)
