On our upcoming trip dw and I are looking to try some new dining experiences. Some info you should know. We will be traveling with dd who will be 3+ at the time. DW does not like strange foods and does not eat a lot of fish. On our last trip we hit: Chef Mickeys, 50's prime time, cape may cafe, whispering canyon, 1900 park fare, psb. So what would you suggest?

Wow! Does your wife sound like me?! :cool1: I also don't like unusual food or seafood for that matter. Having said that, when are you going and are you on the dining plan? If you're going before Feb. 1, 2006 and haven't been, try Cinderella's Royal Table at least once for your DD. After Feb. 1st, it goes to 2 TS credits or a ridiculous $32 for breakfast!
I have also heard raves about Kona Cafe's breakfast (esp. tonga toast which actually sounds good to me).
If you're looking for good character meals you haven't been to there's Restaurantosaurus at AK or Liberty Tree Tavern at MK or Garden Grill at Epcot although I personally didn't care for the food that much...
Have you considered a dinner show? I'm dying to go to the Poly luau but the Hoop Dee Doo gets the most raves here. If you're going to get the Fantasmic! package, most people recommend Mama Melrose. At DT Disney, I hear Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck's is a must try. That's all I can think of. Good luck!
P.S. Consider taking DD to one of the teas at the GF!

If you're in the MK and looking for a nice quiet simple sandwich, burger, or salad for lunch, try The Plaza. Ive never been disapointed with the calm, quiet dining room, or the food. Nothing fancy, just a cool, quiet break from the frenzy

I'm a picky eater as well, and I always enjoy dinner at O'hana. Your dd would probably enjoy the antics they put on for kids and the atmosphere is really unique. Best wishes for a great trip :)

We recently went to WDW with a grand gathering of 8 people, including one recovering anorexic, 2 very picky kids, a grandma who eats nothing with any cholesterol, and one who suffers from intense acid reflux. :confused3 :rotfl2: We had great success at the following restaurants:

Hollywood & Vine for dinner
Restaurantosaurus for breakfast
Crystal Palace for lunch
Tusker House for counter service lunch
The Hoop Dee Doo Revue

Hope this gives you some ideas. Eat well! :earboy2:

Citrico's at GF is excellent.
Ohana food is good and not unusual. Just grilled.
House of Blue at DTD.

Good for her! (me either)

For breakfast, you have to try the  Crystal Palace. The restaurant is bright and cheery and the breakfast is Yummy-American. Winnie the Pooh characters stop by to entertain DD, but I'd recommend it without them, too.

For dinner, try the Hoop-Dee-Doo. It's a dinner show with singing and dancing and corny jokes, and the food is real good.

DW and I like to try a different place each time we go. :Pinkbounc

Another vote for 'Ohanas. LTT may be a good option as well and the characters are great but they are only there for dinner
;)

Another vote for the Plaza Resturant & Kona's. Also try GF Cafe. Rainforrest & ESPN.

Thanks for all of the great tips. Can't wait for my 180 day window to open.

My DD and myself are the same as your wife. With that said, here is a list of what we have tried and loved in the past.

MK: Peco's Bill and Casey's for hot dogs, Crystal Palace for breakfast or dinner
EP: Biergarten for dinner, and anything in the French bakery for a snack!
DS: We love Sci-Fi. My DD is mesmerized by the movies and LOVES the chocolate shakes. We have never had any problems with the food. However, we just get burgers and TO-DIE-FOR onion rings and shakes.
AK: DD loves Rainforest Cafe. They have a huge menu and the food is pretty good. The atmosphere is awesome for kids.

Resorts: We love, love, love Ohanas and we love Kona Cafe for breakfast. We also love Mickeys' Backyard BBQ, Trails End Buffeteria, Chef Mickey's and Boma.
