I believe you get it by buying a real POTC2 hat at the shop when you come out of Pirates. A couple people have said that they are indeed giving them out, and the two were of no relation so I don't see much of a chance of them lying about it.

I'm not really sure at this time. I'm only reporting what I have heard. I have PM'ed Mal the link to where the information is coming from, and she can keep you updated for the rest of the night, as another person is coming back later for the official confirmation. Until then, nothing is in stone or completely confirmed.

Actually, I see where this is going.

There is a new Pirate hat at DL, WDW. From the sounds of it, Disney is going to do the Gold Ears Code thing with the new Pirate Ears , that were released when the new Pirates ride opened up.


That sounds very plausible...


Also, from the sounds of it, this is just in production. It takes time to come up with the cards and send them to all the Pieces of Eight's and the other stores in WDW and DL.

I'd say let's give it time, before we start seeing the cards released. My guess: people will start getting the cards for their purchases around the time that they release the Pirates In-Park quest.

The fact that they may do this with a Pirate hat is news to me. News that may even be breaking to me...

No one has proven this rumor to be fact so right now it is still very much a rumor and that is all.

I really do hope we get a new pirate hat but until it is released and players have it in the game it is all RUMOR with no basis on fact.

Personally, I would prefer a virtual version of the pirate ears hat versus the regular pirate hat with a bird on it. But that's just me.

That would be completely awesome!

This is a Virtual Disney Park... so there should be a lot of the Mickey/Minnie Ears around.

The more versions they add (colors and style), the more fun people will have. It would be a "can you collect all the Mickey Ears?"

Well I made a stop at WDW VMK Central and the pirate shop this morning. Nobody in VMK Central and neither of the 2 pirate shop cashiers I talked to said that they have heard anything about it.

There also is no in park Pirate Quest at the moment either.
