New Pirate Game Win Ship!

Okay, after completing Level 1, I have a comment that only a few of us my relate to.

With the asdw keys AND the mouse being needed, this is a VERY tough game for a left-handed person. The keys are on the left of the keyboard, leaving my right hand to use the mouse - not easy.

WOW another Lefty HUH!!! it does not make it easy does it?

The reason for using the old asdw keys is if you use old technology, then the kids who are used to arrow keys and having it easy will actually have to slow down a bit. Novel concept!

And who knows, maybe us old farts, who used to play Star Trek using these keys, with "K" for Klingons might actually have a chance!

Old age and trechery, I'm telling you! It's where it's at!

For those of us who have been at this for hours and still haven't collected all the map pieces in the first level, could someone please explain in more detail how to play this game.

What is the compass for, I tried to follow it but got no where.

How to you aim your cannons to shot at the other ship?

I tried different directions but the cannon balls doesn't seem to come out at the same angle, I'm shooting at the ship in front of me, and the cannons ball come out the rear. I turn the ship around and then they decide to come out the front, which is now in the opposite direction from the other ship.

How thought I had figure out how to get the ship to move forward, but that only seems to work briefly at best.


How do you put out the fire on the mast?
How do you get more cannon balls?
or more health?
I suppose I should be happy it loads at all on my computer, but I've just been at this for hours and have only seen 2 of 4 of the map pieces.

I finally did it. Now I have to try and do it all over again, and again to get one for myself and my other son........ The way I think i Won is the Kracken got stuck on the other side of the Idol. He didn't move after that and I got the other 3 idols without ever seeing him again. LOL. Hope this helps and hope I can do it again.

Well, you have to click in the directions you want to fire. I kinda click what I'm trying to to shoot over and over. And the compass tell you which direction the 'treasures' are in.

Thanks everyone! Got through level 2...and yup...you just have to hurry up and get all the skulls and avoid those bad ships. lol

Now DS and I have tried level 3 a bazillion times each. Arrgggg I say! The most idols I have turned green is 2. Usually I am lucky to get one before I sink. lol

Such a pretty boat..., er, ship.

Yay! For some reason, I didn't have as much trouble with the keys (guess I'm old).

cat -- put the mouse on the ship you want to shoot and click. The position of your boat won't matter. Your ammo reloads after a few seconds. Health is much slower and while the tutorial said it wouldn't reload, it seemed to do so slowly for me.

I did find it helpful to read the tutorial before starting. And I let the Kracken follow me, never shot at it, and managed to get through the first time. Lucky today I guess. Maybe I should put another 100 codes in for the pirate costume today!

Well, after about an hour or trying to play level 2 and another half hour repairing my computer after throwing it out the window, I've decided to call it a day. I don't think my computer can take any more of my foot anyway.

Well what I don't like is how if you do win, which I have done a few times now. you have to restart to get the middles so if anyone would like a front back I will gift a set or two.

I agree just run this level fast looking for parts, they are in the same place every time. Difference is I look for the ship and start shooting. 7 shoots disables these too.

What is everyone talking about with "going fast" and such? My ship can never go faster. It's like a snail.

i think your ship might go slightly faster if you repeatedly click forwards.

I JUST BEAT LEVEL THREE!!!​

besides practice, here is the only tip i can offer: every time you see the kraken, even if you can escape him, just shot at him as fast as you can. somehow, this seems to slow him down, and really, the more you play, the better you get.

Okay - after at least 20 tries, tips....

- It takes more shots to sink the monster than you have at any one time.
- Get near the idol. Then - shoot everything you have at the dude. He will fall back for a brief moment. You will get more ammo. Then shoot again, crash into the idol and shoot him again so you can get out of there! Then move to the next idol and repeat the above.

Once I figured out this sequence, I had it won in 2 tries.

And to the one person who (totally unsolicited and unexpected) offered to trade me for the level three pieces if I could not get it on my own, thank you but -- oh, and the glory of victory is SO much more than the prize. Have not even put in my codes yet - just thrilled that I beat that - nvm this is Disney - monster!

Woot, yes there is nothing better than earning it yourself, no matter how many things you have smashed in the process!

Anyway I have now finished it 12 times, so have 6 somplete ships. I want at least 2, will give one to star, and have one for a possible trade.

That leaves two..I will be willing to gift 2 ppl who REALLY need one in a while when I go onto VMK. I need to enter the codes and sort the ships etc so give me some time. If you know me, look for me, if not search for madforwdw.

Afetr the two have gone, dont panic, I shall be getting more over the next days or so.

The compass (like in the movie) points to what you want, the treasure and such (the targets)

How to you aim your cannons to shot at the other ship?Aim the cannons by pointing your mouse where you want it to fire and click mouse to fire. I use the mouse to controll the old pirates game as well a s shot so I was used to this

How thought I had figure out how to get the ship to move forward, but that only seems to work briefly at best. The ship is just plain SLOW! on the helm you will see 3 up arrows when at full throtle. It at times is slower when in fog and God knows why else


How do you put out the fire on the mast? as near as can be told it gradually repairs itself with time, although it could be it repairs when you reach next target

Most complicated is getting going again after you hit something - best just keep hitting the W till you see the 3 up arrows
