New Pins coming!

Why do some CMs say one thing and another says something completely different? I have had two CMs say I have a 35% off discount for my room and two others say it's a 15%. I can never get the same information. I just don't understand what's going on.

I have the same issue with never getting the same answer from different CM's. I have asked, no BEGGED, them to give me a direct no. so that I could get the same person, but they say they can't.

I have a reservation for 12/15-12/22 using a 35% discount for POR. I wonder IF free dining extends until this time, would I be able to keep the 35% AND get free dining or would I only be allowed to use one of them. (Obviously, the FD would be the better deal for the four of us.) Thanks.

You are not allowed to stack free dining with a room discount. It is one or the other.

I got the 35% off value and Moderate and 40% off deluxe. I booked my trip since it covered the dates that I wanted in December. I then got the PIN that gave me free dining through August so then I started debating on what we wanted to do

I called the CM so we could crunch some numbers . My dates were August 25 thru September 4 (my free dining pin was only good thru August 31) but when she booked it out for me, the free dining would have covered the entire trip.

I actually kept my December dates and pin offer. It was about $200 more but Disney in December was just so much better for us!

I am not sure I even want the free dining pin to cover my dates in December since free dining = much bigger crowds.

That's a hard one... save money-bigger crowds vs. more money - smaller crowds

I booked for Sept. 24- Oct 1 and got 35% off All Star Movies. I am still kind of hoping for fd it would save even more money. I know I can't use both codes. I don't know maybe it would be better if it means less of a crowd to not have the fd. Just playing it by ear.

That's when I am going. They had the code but my kids really wanted Pop and I was told I couldn't use the pin code there but could have Movies. It was only $50-60 less then what I got at Pop so we stayed at Pop. We were just at Movies in December...gotta give the kids a change. Oh well PRAYING for FD!

Well I just tried to switch to the Pop but was told their were no rooms available. I have been hearing such good things about it, oh well. I still get to go to Disney so

When are you going? We are planning to go in June but have not booked yet.

I received an AP Pin Code and it would only allow discounts for the nights that were in that time frame...it did not extend the discount for the nights past the time frame. So, I was able to get 42% off for 3 nights, but that 4th night is rack rate.

We are planning a trip for October. Disney has sent me the same pin about 4 times this month (35-40% off room only). I have priced it out, and while the pin is good for us-certainly better than nothing- FD would be so much better. My kids love the character dining and that in and of itself makes the dining plan worth it for us regardless if it is free or not. Vacation expense wise, FD is a WONDERFUL thing. So my dilemma is this...My pin needs to be used by the 27th of this month. Supposedly new pins are coming out 3/1. I feel asthough if I book with this pin, any hopes of getting a FD pin would be out the window since they already got me, lol. My only hope would be for a general public FD announcement. If I let current pin slip by, what if I get nothing and then end up paying rack rate. What would you do???????

PS. I would be saving approx $400 booking with the pin now vs no pin later, approx $700 with FD vs current pin vs $1000 with no pin. OYE my head hurts

This happens to me, too. Sometimes I'll call and I have a PIN attached to my name (but won't work due to the timing), and another time there are no PINs attached to our name. Grr.

Many of us received the resort discount and many of us want the FD code.

First, let me say some folks have called and somehow the CM can tell if they have a pincode that will be in effect for 3/1, but they can't access it now but it's there in the waiting. You certainly can do the same and call and see.

You can book and be safe with the resort discount and hope a public code comes along for free dining and then you can change when it does occur. Before the 45 day mark you are safe with changes and no fees.

Personally, I decided to wait it out and just see if I can get the FD pincode or a public one. I've decided I will not go without it. I can pass on Disney this year and I did so last year. My last trip was Dec. 2009. I'm in no hurry; so, I'll play the waiting and not go if it comes down to it. I'm sure there will be a FD code some time in the future even if I have to wait for 2012 or later.

We have a trip planned for Dollywood this year. I've been there and they have festivals I really enjoy; so, we are going back this year. To have the Smoky Mountains as your backdrop is a real plus for Dollywood.

Just try something else this year if it comes down to it.

It is definately a tough call and I know that headache all too well. We were originally booked Oct 23-29 then switched to take advantage of the FD days before it ran out last Dec. Of course when the new public offer came out since it was just DH & Myself the % off was better for us since we were staying at a Deluxe Resort.

Since then I have been hopeing and praying for a pin for October but no such luck. DH did get a pin for 20% off for 12/1 to 12/22 which was no good at all for us.

I did get a pin last year before booking and none this year and I am thinking like you maybe I should have waited instead of trying to lock in a "good deal"

A part of me wants to still switch back to Oct, because of the better weather but DH says he will be happy with the lower crowds in September even if it is hotter, plus it is cheaper too.

I know the urge to book is terrible when you don't know what is coming for Oct on March 1st, Me I would probally book now with the % off rather than risk losing it and maybe not getting the new pin.

We too got the same pin code twice this month but have not booked yet. I don't plan to unless we get a BETTER package deal. It's not enough savings for us to go....

if we don't see a better deal come out soon we'll probably scratch our plans to head to Disney this fall. While I LOVE Disney for our family, we'll be ok if we don't go on a trip this year at all....

Same for us..not sure if we CAN go if we don't get FD. Now that my 10 & 11 year old are Disney adults the buffets are just too expensive.

I got the same offer 4 months in a row, the only difference is the dates were extended each tim. I finally booked with a 35% off value/moderate-40% off deluxe PIN when it finally covered early December (which is when we wanted to go). I then got a PIN for free dining but only thru August 13. No good to me. I did call and was told that I have a PIN code that will not be available to use till after March 1 for free dining. The CM couldn't tell me what dates it covered but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will call and see if it covers my dates and hotel! Hoping for FD
