New Pin Trader looking for info.

Hi, We leave for Disney shortly and I have purchased some pins and a lanyard for my dd to get started with. Is there a link that gives a brand new pin trader the basics of how it all works? The limited info. I have found is that my dd can ask a CM to trade a pin and that the green lanyards are for the kids only. We have extra muscial pins that have two posts and actually play music. Are these ok for trading?

One more thing, is it okay for my daughter to nicely say "no" to a trade? Right now she only has 5 pins (not including the musical ones) and she loves them all. What is the proper etiquette if this happens?

Hi Kessieann...

yes your musical pins are tradable with CM and your daughter might say "no" to a trade at any time !!!

We will be at WDW starting from the 24th of Jan, too with our little son coming from germany ...

We do pintrading since 99 and would be happy to trade with your daughter and give her a few pins to get her started ! If you do see a german couple with a stroller and a lanyard attached make yourself known and if you like i can send a pic of us to help

Hi Stephan,

Thanks for the information! We are starting the 24th out at Epcot. It is my dd's 6th birthday so we are all very excited. I will have my Home Depot Mickey Head with some lime green curling ribbon on it. Our lanyard is red with white polka dots with a huge medallion of Minnie on it. It is my husband, myself and my soon to be 6 year old daughter. Hope to see you there

Our first day at the parks will be on sunday .. not sure about where we will be heading, most likely Animal Kingdom ...
Will try to find something lime green and decorate the stroller
