New PI Closing Information

We are flying down on the 25th and will be stopping by PI to take one last picture and stroll..

As for the fireworks... would they have it on the same night as a MNSSHP?

Cause we are going to that on the 26th..

Then the Magic on the 27th - Oct 4th..

When we get back on the 4th.. DTD will look alot different..

Just got home from AC, and was told that the club will be open 6pm to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights for the next 2 weeks.

Also was quite an interesting evening at PI, there was a power outage and PI was evacuated, and the Island was closed for about an hour before we were allowed to re-enter.

I was at AC when the power went out too...in the mask room during the "Fru-Fra Fru-Fra" schtick, Samantha had just picked on me ("Grizzley Randy: the bear wrestler!")

Just got home from AC, and was told that the club will be open 6pm to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights for the next 2 weeks.

I wonder if any other venues are opening earlier than their normal times. I won't be able to find out until tomorrow night unless it's posted somewhere on the internet.

Comedy Warehouse is, not sure about the dance clubs, which have not seen quite the same bump as AC (it's weird walking out of an AC packed like sardines only to realize the parking lot is practically empty).

BTW, AC will have "continuous entertainment" from 6 to 2. Rumor has it this will include Halloween/Christmas shows. Should be an interesting night.

a couple of months back I pointed out the fireworks would return, along with the street entertainment and Frankie & The West End boys.. looks like it turns out my sources on those points were good!

Thurs., Sept. 18:

• The Comedy Warehouse opens early with an additional show at 6:55pm. Show times are: 6:55pm, 8pm, 9:10pm, 10:25pm, 11:35pm, and 12:45am.
• D.J. (Disk Jockey) duo performing on the Waterfront Stage at Pleasure Island, 6pm - 1:30am

• Adventurers Club opens at 6pm with additional Library shows

There were fireworks Thursday night, however they were out back over the lake instead of on the street. There was also some streetmosphere earlier in the evening.

If memory serves, the fireworks were around 9:30ish.
Could it be the fireworks were for something else??

Hmmm, I don't know. I didn't get to PI last night (Friday) until around 9:50pm so if there were any fireworks then, I missed them.

Thanks for contributing to our economy, albeit quite briefly!

You know, now that I think about it...
I didn't run out the back door with the hurd to see the fireworks.
I wonder if what I heard was Illuminations?? Time was about right.

Yes, I needed my last Kungaloosh, so I flew from Connecticut just for a last few hours at my beloved Adventurers Club.
After all that, I left my yakoose mug in the library..

There is a slight possibility that I get one more night there next week. Often my job takes me to Orlando for a couple nights at a clip..

We were there at opening, and closing, with the pyrotechnics CR viewing and CW show in between. (Great night and obviously will never be repeated.)
Col was on the glasses.
The crowd at both locations was close to or back to what I consider normal for a Saturday night. Crowded, but manageable.
AC still had the HOOP-la(!) in the lobby. However we were in the library.

Wonderful group. They will be sorely missed.
