One of my favorites...Bedouin Gonzo on a camel. One of the Marines put Gonzo and the camel on the hood of his Humvee.

...and here's one of our Marines sharing his Easter M&M's.

I thought chocloate was a no-no? If we can send M&M's, I will.

Looks like those M&M's arrived OK, Carol. I'm still leary of sending anything chocolate, with temperatures reaching 100 degrees almost daily. :(

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I too immediately thought of the MnM's. I guess their candy coating might keep them from melting into one pile, but I guess when the soldiers bite into the MnM, they will be getting melted chocolate!

Again, thanks for sharing. It has been great to keep up with the group.

Please tell them constantly how much we love and appreciate each and every one of them. :)

Great pictures! :)

I also wanted to send m&m's but figured they would melt. I sent peeps instead. :)

GREAT pics! About the m&m's, weren't they developed during WWII specifically because of melting chocolate? Remember all the "old" commercials used to advertise - the milk chocolate melts in your mouth, not in your hands! Of course your hands would get full of colors instead of chocolate. :D

I loved these pics, especially the gonzo one, lol. I just wish I would have been able to spot Bobby.
So far the m&ms seem to be getting to the soldiers fine. I think the candy coating is enough to keep it from becoming a chocolate mess.

Great pictures! I liked the guy in the background doing his laundry! They look nice and relaxed though, that must make you feel better. :D

Great pictures Patty!! Thanks for sharing them with us. God Bless each and every one of them!!

The guy in the background doing his laundry is Bobby's Gunnery Sgt. David Zupsich. His wife and I are good friends.

Thanks again, Patty, for sharing these pictures with us.

God bless all of our troops!

Marie

Patty, thanks for sharing! The guys look like they are doing well.

How many guys are in Bobby's unit? I always try to guess which one may be my adopted soldier :)

Patty, I was out of town and my laptop is worthless so I wasn't able to check the DIS much the past few weeks. . . but I asked Maggie every day how your son was. . .

I'm so glad he's okay. . . I pray he's able to get home to you as soon as possible. . :) :) :)

Thanks WillyJ. :)

...and PugDog, there are 114 in Bobby's unit from South Bend.
