Latest Update: CD is on its way! It is scheduled to arrive on 11/5, I should be mailing out your CD this weekend!

Hi everyone, I will use this thread to keep our group up-to-date. Please email me or send a PM at any point if you have any questions. I will update this thread regularly and change the date/time at the top.

Uploading:
Everyone is assigned two days for the upload. During those two days ONLY you will enter your codes from the photopass cards you receive. Having specific days for each family to upload ensures everyone's pics stay together and can be separated easily when it comes time to burn your personal copy of the photopass CD. You will have until 11/5 (Wed) to edit your pictures (crop, add borders, etc). The final edit date was pushed back a few days to accommodate our new members.

How Photopass Share works: (I stole this from the September group, thank you!)

1. Money: Please send $15 to me by 10/10. I will determine individual costs for CDs, shipping, etc. If there is overage, I will send money back with the CD. This amount covers us in case anyone drops out. I have sent everyone a PM with my address, cell phone number, and personal email.

2. Go on your trip and take LOTS of pictures! There is NO limit to the amount of pictures you can take! When you start your trip you will get a photopass card from any photopass photographer in the parks. Your photographer will then scan your card. Take as many pictures as you want !! Stop every photopass photographer you see. They are great opportunities to get the entire family in those pictures ! You can use multiple cards but it is easiest for you to try and use the same card as much as possible.

3. When you return home DO NOT create your own photopass account to view your photos If you create your own account with your pictures you will no longer be eligible for this Photopass share. On your assigned days, please enter your photopass codes into the SHARED account. (I will send you the account number and password the night before your scheduled upload) If you do enter your information into another account there will be no way for us to change this and you will then need to order your own photo cd.

4. Editing Info - Everyone has been assigned "upload days". That way, your pictures are kept together when they are entered into the system and your pics don't get mixed up with other family's photos. After you upload your pics on your assigned days, you are free to edit your pics up until the end of the share. All your edits will stay grouped with their original. As more people are editing, the website can get very slow, so please keep that in mind. A good tip I've heard is that once you find your pictures, click on one photo, then click next instead of going back to all of the photos. That should make things move a little faster. All editing must be done by midnight (PST) on Wednesday, 11/5.

5. After everyone has entered/ edited their pictures, I will order our CDs from Disney. This will take about 2 weeks to arrive sometimes a little quicker. I will let everyone know as soon as I receive the CDs from Disney.

6. Once I get the CD from Disney, I will burn each family a CD of just THEIR vacation photos. This will be easy to do if we have all entered our photopass cards on different days. I will mail out everyone's CDs in a CD "sleeve" in a padded mailer. If there is money remaining in the group balance after all costs, I will send it with your CD.

Feel free to post any other questions you might have. I will try to login regularly and stay in contact with everyone throughout the share.

Hi!

I am interested in a photopass share. I am going Oct 13-16...but won't be home to do the upload until 10/20....so it looks like our timing would work out great.

If a group gets together, count me in! I don't want to be the person who sets it up, because I'm not all that computer savvy and not sure I could copy the discs right and all that.

Thanks for the interest! I'm going to go ahead and try to form a new group. I've put in some tentative upload dates, but we can adjust as necessary. Hopefully we can get another 2 or 3 people to join. I'll let you know for sure if we have a group!
 

Thanks so much for organizing this! The upload date you have listed for me works perfectly...I can be flexible too though if you need to change it (just as long as it is the 20th or after).

Also, once everybody has signed up who is interested and you've figured out the cost, be sure to let us know how you prefer payment (money order, Paypal?)

Visiting Disney Oct 12 to Oct 18, first time in 20 years. ( five adults and three grandchildren 2,4 and 6) Do you still need people for your photo group.?
If yes, could you please explain how the group photopass works. How would I receive the pass or number so our pictures are included. What is the estimate cost and how and who do I pay. I am in BC Canada does this create a problem? Does everyone receive the photo release? I note in the discussion the download date is mention. Does everyone in the group need to download at the same time ?

The BIG "rule" is that you don't create your own online account, you use the account number and password that I give you. We'll all be able to see each other's pics online, but you limit your uploading to just two days so that the pics aren't all mixed together.

I have made some major changes to the first post, lots more great information - thanks to the September group! (I stole most of it from them)

I have emailed all group members with my address to send payment, cell phone number, and personal email address.
 
10/10 update: I've rec'd 6 payments and the 7th is in the mail :) So, we are good to go! I set up the account and will email/pm you with the account information the night before you are scheduled to upload. I'm leaving early on the 16th and will be back on the 19th, but will have limited computer access on the trip!
