New petunias

I got an ad from Lowe's in my mailbox today (it's a good thing I'm not Pete, because he's just WAITING for a Lowe's ad to break in that new charge card)...and they had advertized a new double wave petunia. It looks like they also have a Tidal Wave petunia--6" tall that spreads as much as 4' wide.

Have any of you planted either of these? They look georgeous.

No, I have not seen these types of petunias.

I will check them in at our local nursery in a couple weeks. I need some special plants this year for our dd grad open house.

I know I planted Wave petunias last year along the walk from my drivewqay to the front door and then in my window boxes too. With an occassional watering of Miracle Gro they did GREAT!!!! I'll probably do them again this year but I'll have to check out the new varieties. the ones I had last year spread like crazy so maybe I did have the Tidal Wave one.
