We were at DL today for Rope Drop. Went straight to PP and the line was already 45 minutes long. Early Magic Hours were at DCA today so it wasn't people that were already in the park. It was that crowded that fast.

We are annual pass holders so we skipped it. I love Peter Pan and am interested to see what they've done with it but there is no way we are waiting 45 minutes at park opening. Just wanted to warn folks that getting there early isn't going to guarantee you a short PP line.

It's really not worth it. We were there Sunday. The wait at rope drop was across the drawbridge of the castle. By the time everyone wound through the line it was 60 minutes. I saw a preview day and it just wasn't great. The one new scene is good, but brief, and the London scene looks flat now with the way the lights are.

We spent most of our EMH in line for PP yesterday. It's partly our fault. My DH decided he wanted coffee and it was either ditch him or wait and we waited.

I liked it. We waited for about 50 minutes for it the other day and I enjoyed going through the line. I haven't actually waited in a line in ages, and was surprised to find that it was kind of fun to chat with my friend and watch all the people around us. I thought the ride was great. I often skip PP due to the long line, but I'm glad we decided to check out the new effects.

Literally, the line for that ride is ridiculous... It NEVER dies down. We tried for a couple of days to ride it, but we just couldn't make ourselves stand in line for that long. Most of the time the sign read 70 minutes...no thank you. Finally last night we decided that we REALLY wanted to ride it and stepped in line at 11:00 pm when the sign read 50 minutes. Honestly, it was the longest we have ever waited for that ride, but we did LOVE the changes. Yes, the wait was a little frustrating but we are glad we made the decision to give it try. Definitely will be waiting for the line to die down a bit before riding again, but hey!

I have to laugh because this so my DH! I explain this is best time to get on things before it gets crowded and he just had coffee at the hotel, but he needs to stop and find more coffee! :faint::rotfl:

Thanks for the info, I am excited to see the updates as well I do like going to storybook land after like the fireworks there are a lot less children at that time.

Gosh, is there ever a time when the line is NOT hideous? It's the same way at WDW!!! :faint: If it wasn't my fave classic ride, I'd for sure skip it!

It's worse than at WDW. At least in FL, the SDMT is drawing a lot of the crowd right at opening so it is not terribly hard to do at Rope Drop there. Not the case here. It goes from zero to a 40 minute wait in a matter of minutes.

We rode PP 4 times last week. I really liked the changes. They added new "animations" to make all the water come to life. I really like Peter, Wendy, John and Michael landing on the hand of Big Ben.

DW and I were at DL on the 1st, tried To do PP first thing in the morning at rope drop, line was 70min long already, no way i'll be spending so much of precius morning time in line, we kept checking the line throuh out the day and it never was shorter than 50min, so at about 7pm we decided to do the 60min wait, we liked it, but new effects and all I think I wouldnt wait more than 30min for this ride, even tho it's a Disneyland classic, and arguably the best dark ride in fantasy land (I think that Alice in wonderland gives PP a good run for it's money). So my advice is to do PP on the 2nd or even 3rd day of s 3 day visit. If I Had only one day at DLR I wouldn't think that PP was worth that much of my límited time at the parks.

Just my opinion,

If you're going to ride PP at rope drop, make sure it's not a Magical Morning day. All those people had an hour jump on the line.

Sounds like PP is the RSR of Disneyland as far as wait times.

I like the ride but I'm not going to wait in that long of a line.
Maybe the hype will die down by October....

We were there at rope drop and people were literally sprinting towards it, it looked like they were storming the castle. We walked as fast as we could but by the time we got up to it the line was already an hour long.

Thanks for the update. We were going to go there first thing today but if people are sprinting there and the line gets to 60 minutes right away, we will just wait till later on. We don't usually ride PP but wanted to see the new changes but we have APs and will be back at Christmas and Easter, so we can always wait till the next time.

We were 2nd to ride PP during MM/EMH last Tuesday. (love the new additions!) We were first in line at gate #10 (furthest to the left) so our tickets were scanned prior to the opening countdown, no strollers and DS (9) walks fast. Right when they get to 3-2-1, we walk very fast (never running) straight down through the castle. The line builds immediately to a 30 minute wait. When we exited, the line is already completely wound through the queue. If I see that we are going to be anything more than 15-20 people back, I wouldn't have done PP. It just wastes too much time. We were done with Fantasyland, except Casey Jr and the Canal boats (don't open until Park Opening) by 7:30.

We were at rope drop this morning and decided that we would go for it. Rather wait in the morning than in the afternoon hot sun or in the evening rain. By the time we walked there, a long line has formed. It only took 15 mins before we were on the ride, so we are glad to have done it. Really liked the new additions.
