I am planning a trip to WDW next December. Right now the plan is to be in Orlando 9 days, and spend 6 or 7 days in the parks. (My kids need "down" days, especially when it is crowded)

I currently have a variety of old park hopper passes, with misc. days on each, plus 2 new hopper passes I bought last August. But I will need to purchase 2 tickets, and figured I should buy one for youngest ds, since he will still be a child.

If I purchase a 10 day MYP pass, ahead of time, can I add the park hopper option once we are at the parks. We don't "hop" alot, but do sometimes.

Additionally, if for whatever reason, we use only 5 or 6 days, can I then add on the "no expiration" to the pass? If I do, will it be like the old park hoppers...that it can grow to an "adult" pass as the child gets older? (My ds will be 8 next December)

Thanks

Julia

My understanding is that yes, the tickets will remain upgradable just as the ones are currently. I'm sure it won't be pro-rated, i.e. if you buy a 5-day MYW pass without park hopping, and decide to add it after the 4th day, you'll still pay the full $35. I'm sure it will be the same for no expiry. The kids getting older thing usually isn't a problem - especially when they are that small.

However, you should wait until after Jan 2 and call WDW to confirm this. This is just speculation based on what I've heard/read - but of course you want to be "sure".

Good luck!

You will pay $100 for no-expire on a 10 day pass. Since you are only planning 6-7 days in the park, why not just buy a 7 day hopper. That way if you want to upgrade to a no-expire it will only be $70 and more unlikely if you are going to the parks fewer days. It could get very confusing in future trips if two people in your family have existing MYW tickets and others don't.

yes, you can add the options onto any base ticket at any point, but will be charged full price, meaning even after 9 park days you add the hopper option you still pay the full $35.

There is a $10 discount for advanced purchase of a 10 day hopper.

Also if you adding the no expiration option, I think the 10 day if a deal over the 7 day.

7 day hopper no exp about $295
10 day hopper no exp about $353

thats 3 hopers for future use at about 55 bucks. not bad as long as you have the money up front
