Anyone out there hoping and dreaming for a new park? If so, what would you like to see happen. All ideas and wishes welcomed:thumbsup2

What's so bad about the ones we have already?

Nothing at all! But would you not like to see, with all the new technology and ideas out there an additional park? It can only make it even more wonderful!

I would like to see Disney enhance the current parks rather then just build a new one

That would be nice:) Its just an idea to dream about what else they are capable of doing;) Maybe the new park can have all rides handicapp accessible in the sense that you do not have to transfer on any rides at all!
I am not saying that they do not do a GREAT job now adapting vehicles, but from a handicapp point of view wouldnt it be nice to just go to ANY ride and not have to worry!.

Like I said this is only a DREAM, ;) and I  Disney the way it is now, please don't misunderstand me!

I would love them to turn Future World in Epcot into what Walt intended and dreamed of.

I really liked the rumor of a villains theme park. Of course they're selling so much land that I don't know where they would put it!

That sounds so cool:thumbsup2 I had no idea they were selling land! well in this economy, I believe anything:sad1:

I, too, would love to see the Villians park that was supposed to connect to AK. I think it would draw a whole new crowd to the parks, and maybe we'd finally get some NBC meet-n-greets!

Where did you hear this?

The Villains park (search this forum for other threads) or selling land?

They may not be "selling" a lot of the land, but there is a lot of leasing going on.

Disney is transferring land at the Eagle Pines golf course to Four Seasons for development of a resort there. They are de-annexing the land so it will no longer be part of Reedy Creek Improvement District (which is all the land Disney owns). I presume this was an actual land sale.

The Western Way development, which has another name that I can't remember, involves a lot of outside companies setting up motels/hotels/stores. I don't know if that involves selling/de-annexing the land, or a simple lease.

Disney recently announced closing all the clubs at Pleasure Island, to be replaced with more restaurants, etc. run by outside companies, probably under a lease.

This is all leading to other DISers saying that Disney would rather play landlord.

At this rate, if a 5th park were to open, it would probably be a Six Flags.

I'd like to see a park with 2 separate sections - the way it was, and the way it is. One side of the park would have rides & attractions geared toward older adults, and the other side would have the same rides & attractions with a teen twist (coasters. etc).

So many of us older adults love Disney, but can't do 3D movies, coasters, etc. due to health & mobility problems. We're certainly not really OLD, but we can't board rides with moving floors and/or we can't handle 3D stuff and flashing lights.

Picture a 62 year old woman on RnRC or TOT! Our generation grew up with The Mickey Mouse Club and all of the cute little Mouseketeers on TV. Yet, there is not a single moving attraction in Disney to remind us of that. Nostalgia would keep us and our families coming back for more and more forever. I fear that Disney is going the route of 6 Flags and
other "amusement parks".

If they keep building thrill rides, I will have no Disney to return to year after year. That's sad!

I don't think any of the America Disney parks are due for another theme park any time soon. In Anaheim, they are doing a massive overhaul of California Adventure and in Orlando, AK and DHS need some more staple attractions. However, I would like to see a version of Disney's America for a 5th gate in Orlando. Disney's America was rumored in the mid 90's to be placed in Virginia, although that plan fell through.
I know that we already have the American Adventure at Epcot and the Hall of Presidents at the MK, but I would love to see an entire park on one of Walt's favorite things: the History of America. There could be a Revolutionary/Declaration of Independence/Constitution themed land, Civil War, Wild West, and much more. But a 5th gate is probably pretty far off.

I think that would be a great idea! Whatever they do I will be there! I agree that a few more attractions would be very nice:thumbsup2

I aslo can't see a new park for a while. I really like the America idea, but they already have Liberty Square, Frontierland and the US pavilion. I think they could play with a sports theme and connect it to the WWS, but I don't think there's room. That's all I've got (I'm afraid my DDs and I would be bored to death though). The trouble is that Epcot and MK have themes within themes.

I DESPISE the idea of the night kingdom, sounds a little ridiculous.

I too am not a fan of the beastly/night kingdom idea. I don't think they can do much with it and it would attract the wrong kind of people. I believe Disney has the room to have a 5th gate and maybe even a 6th, even though those are far, far off. The sports theme is interesting, but since the WWOS is not a huge success, I question whether Disney would invest in a risky park. Although Liberty Square, Frontierland, and the American Adventure exist, there are many other points of American History that would be fun to have in a park.

Very sad but very true. Oh and I believe the Western Way development is called Flamingo Crossings. Boy doesnt that just scream Disney:confused3 ....
