New Pampered Chef Stoneware Baker - Need Recipes!

I just got my new Deep Dish Stoneware Baker from Pampered Chef yesterday!

Now I need ideas for what to cook in it! :

I've had the large round stone for almost 5 years now and have made breads and cookies and pizzas and such on it.

So far, our only idea for something to cook in the baker is a deep dish pizza. I know there has to be more stuff out there that we can make in it - so, Help!!

Is that the square or the rectangle? I use my stones all the time. The rectangle one gets really heavy but I love to make lasagna in it and roast chicken w/potatoes and carrots. In my square I do roasted potatoes w/a drizzle of olive oil and lots of herbs. They always turn out delicious. It probably also came with a little recipe book.

It's actually Oval shaped.

There was a folded up piece of paper in it with all of one recipe that neither of us really likes.

I have lots of Pampered Chef stoneware. In the oval one, I tend to do pasta casseroles, fruit cobblers/crisps, pot pies, roast chickens and pork roasts.

the oval isn't one of my favorite stoneware pieces - the ones I use constantly are the rectangular baker (9x13) and square baker (9x9) and the bar pan (10x15). These are common sizes called for in recipes.

Try doing a google search for Pampered Chef recipes. I know there is a sight that has alot of there recipes listed but, can't remember where. And NO it's not THE PC website LOL

Anything you would use a 9x13 casserols dish for, you can use your Baker. I do Mexican Enchilada casserole, turkey tetrazinni, lasagna, baked pasta, roasted potatoes, roast chicken or pork roast, cornbread, cakes, bar cookies, etc, etc... just about everything is wonderful in Stoneware. Try to make fatty recipes the first few times you use it (crescent roll dough, things that use lots of butter or oil) to season the baker.

I have nearly every shape and size Stoneware item Pampered Chef sells, and I use at least one of them each and every day. I love the results- no burned spots, no sticking, easy cleanup- Stoneware is great!!

Thanks so much for all the suggestions! I don't know why I was drawing a total blank on ideas for this thing. I was thinking about doing a pot roast with potatoes and carrots at some point.

I my large round stone. It's fabulous - it gets used in our house at least 3 times per week.

We just got all of the bamboo spoon sets, too (it was the host special this month and DH and I have managed to kill all of our regular wooden spoons. ) I know a bunch of people who swear by the bamboo spoons.

The food chopper is a nifty doodad, too.

I love Pampered Chef and Princess House WAY too much.

I love the stoneware too, but the niftiest thing I have is the ground beef chopper thing (no, that's not the correct term!) You use it while you're browning ground beef to break it up. It's not expensive, under $10 for sure.

If you have nothing from Pampered Chef, here are some basic must-have's:

~Food Chopper
~Mix N Chop - this is the ground meat chopping tool that was mentioned by a previous poster.
~ Classic Batter Bowl - good sized mixing bowl for everything from brownies to pancake batter to salads and more
~ Small Mix N Scraper
~ Any Bamboo Tool. Bamboo is a grass, not a wood. So you will not have any rotting issues like you would have with wooden tools. They are also stain resistant and dishwasher safe. They do not split like wooden tools either.
~ Collapsible Bowl - This is a new product that transforms from an 8 Qt bowl to a chip and dip platter and it comes with its own lid.
~ Trifle Bowl - the cool part about this is the foot is a separate piece and stores inside the bowl. Not only for salads and layered desserts but you can use it as a punch bowl and a centerpiece
~Chillzanne Rectangle Server - Chillzanne products have a piece that goes in the freezer. Once you freeze it, whatever you put on top of it stays cool outside refrigeration up to 4 hours. This piece is multi purpose. One side is used for meat/cheese or fruit/vegie trays. The flip side has indents for 24 deviled egg halves. I hate deviled eggs and I think this is the best part of that product

My favorites are, in no particular order:

- the 2 way measuring cup- it does liquids on one side, and solids/dry measure on the other.
- cheap paring knives. They used to be $1 each, now I think they come 2 for $2.50.
- Mandolin slicer
- adjustable measuring spoons
- rectangular stone
- 9" square stoneware pan
- food chopper
- small bar pan. We are a family of 3, and this pan is perfect for doing 6 cookies at a time, or one tube of refrigerated biscuits, or 2 Shake & Bake coated chicken breasts.
- apple corer/peeler/slicer
- bread knife

Twist it clips, the Seasons best little $1 cookbook, pizza crust & roll mix. The can opener can not live without it, batter bowls, egg slicer.

I recently purchased a set of 6 glass cups w/lids which are awesome. They are slightly bigger than pudding snack size cups. They are marked 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 cup so they can be used for measuring but really I use them for leftovers, individual desserts, etc. I also use my rubber spatulas every single day. I have 3 sizes but I'm not sure if there are more now. I think the PC cutting boards are fantastic too. I have 3 sizes of those as well but probably use the smallest and middle most often.

I know this is an old post, but........I LOVE everything everyone mentioned as favorites. Hmmmm, I wonder why! Stoneware is the best and I just found these posts when doing a search for cook time for the roasted potatoes with Rosemary seasoning I'm making in my Stoneware Bar Pan. I was totally converted to stoneware 6 years ago when I got my very first stone...the large round stone.

Nothing quite like Pampered Chef even from an old thread.

I use my 2 batter bowls on the time. I have the pots and pans and use them daily as well. There is not much that I do not have. I love my clay oven. I have never had a better baked chicken then from my clay oven.
