New Pal Mickey - bigger than the old one?

Does anyone know the exact size difference between the old and new Pal Mickey? I just saw a post that the new one was larger and I need some help - I just resized a build a bear Eagles uniform to my old Pal Mickey - I want to put in on a new Pal Mickey for DNeph and have it in the room for him when he checks in for our Halloween trip (as Mickey's Halloween costume). It looks really cute and I have it all pinned, but now I realize I'd better make sure it fits the new Pal Mickey before I finish it !! TIA for any dimensions on the new Pal Mickey!!
(Also refit the BABear Tink costume to DGrD's little stuffed bear (she'll be Tink for MNSSHP) - too cute !!)- I'll be checking in before they arrive and know they'll be so excited to find their beloved 'friends' waiting for them, dressed for Halloween!!

Nope. They are both the same size. My dsis has the old one and I bought the new one. Mine wears a Tuxedo and hers doesn't....That's pretty much it. If I took the tuxedo jacket off, you may not be able to tell the difference.

Mine does have a gold medallion on one of his gloves saying happiest celebration on earth.

PM2's head, gloves and feet are wee bit bigger. Other then that they share most of the clothes they have. It's just making sure that the head opening will work and that the arms/cuffs on tops will give to stretch over their gloves.

Taking a (fabric) measuring tape I placed the tape over PM1's eyes resting on his nose and wound it around his head and it came to 11" Doing the same on PM2 was just under 12"


Wraping it around the back of PM1's head and covering the tip of his nose is between 13" and PM2's is 13-1/2"

Had to remeasure, I always make the mistake of using the metal end as the the start of the tape

I think it's great you've been able to resize a Build a Bear outfit, it's come up quite often if it was possible. Would love to see a picture when you are done. If you resize any of their other things I'd love to know how it turns out. I am so tempted to buy a sewing machine and learn how to sew

I'll just double check that I left enough room for the head, hands and feet to come through! I'll definitely try and post a pic when I get finished - I had to take up about half of the pant legs (lost the entire knee pad that was sewn into the football pants) - but you can certainly still tell it's an Eagles uniform - the tricky part might be putting 'button holes' in the helmet cause I'd love to pull Mickey's ears through the top of it ! thanks again !

I'm wondering if anyone can share with me what the extra messages are that Pal Mickey shares with you if you have the certificate from playing the Pal Mickey game off the Disney website? I know you also get a pin with that certificate, but I'm trying to decide whether to get a Pal before our April trip (so I can size his outfits perfectly or wait and use the certificate and get him when we arrive at WDW.
