New Owner at AKV

We just purchased at AKV and are very excited about it. I have our first trip planned and they only had a 1bdrm SV in the Jambo house available. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping someone might be able to answer.
How are the views from these rooms? Do the rooms seem that much smaller then Kidani? Can you have the chair and the sofa open at the same time? Thank you so much for all of your input!

Congratulations!

I have only been in a value 1 bedroom at Jambo, and that was much smaller than Kidani's 1 bedroom. (In Kidani, the master bath/bedroom is huge, or it seemed like that to us when we stayed in one this past weekend!) However, people here have mentioned that as far as the standard or savannah view 1 bedrooms in Jambo, they have opened both the sofa bed and the sleeper chair. You should be OK.

Hi and congratulations!!

Our view was very nice, can't remember the room number. I have read a lot of posts to make sure you ask for Zebra Trail, Arusha Savannah. Our next trip in Aug will be at Kidani (2 bedroom savannah view). I can't wait! The rooms are not that much smaller, I tried finding the sq ft difference, maybe someone else can help with that, but it is not that huge of a difference. Yes you can have the chair and sofa opened at the same time. Have fun on your first home visit!

We've not stayed at AKV yet so can't answer your question. Just wanted to extend a warm Home!

Jambo 1BR is about 712 sq ft, Kidani 810 so it is a significant difference and the Kidani has the second bathroom. Nevertheless, the Jambo 1 BR is good size and in fact about the same size as the the 1BRs at all other WDW DVC resorts except OKW which has huge 1BRs and BLT which will also have the second bathroom and be close in size to the Kidani 1BR. The couch folds out to a queen and the chair to a single. Both can be out at one time. Views are fine.
