Does anyone know when the new/old Tiki Room Opening?

The official WDW website shows that "The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management" (as it's still called there) will be closed for refurbishment through Monday, August 15. So that could mean that the show will reopen Tuesday, August 16. However, the reopening has already been pushed back several times.

I'll be there starting the 19th and am hoping the same but I have a bad feeling that they are going to hold off till the 40th in October to make a lain attempt to show they actually tried to do something for the occasion!

I say the sooner it opens the better. We have gone long enough without the original tiki room. Hopefully they will bring back the barker bird and orange bird...but I am not holding my breath!

There is work being done on it daily now. Right now the break room complex is closed off to even CM's due to construction happening. And I hear drills and strange noises often.

I would place bets on anytime late August. But I have seen the August 15th number in a few places. :]

I really hope it's true that they're restoring the original show --- I've actually never gotten to experience it, but I always hear people singing its praises - and Under New Management was certainly not one of my favorite shows in the park...
