New OFFICIAL SSR Opening Dates

From a DVC letter we received today...

We are pleased to make a correction and inform you that SSR (abbreviated) Members can begin requesting reservations for SSR on December 1, 2003 at 9:00am Eastern time. The table below shows the projected opening dates based on your unit of ownership interest.

1A-1Q May 17th
2A-9A June 7th

Please Note: All dates are subject to change and availability is on a first come, first served basis.

Hmmmmmm. I started a thread expressing my confusion as to when we could start making SSR ressies. Days later, DVC sends you a letter - on that exact topic! Mere coincidence, or is DVC responding to this forum?

I had the same thought when I received the letter...especially since they were so specific about the unit numbers. I'm willing to bet that they followed the whole "What unit are you in" post as well.

It's really nice to know that they read, listen and take action when required. Though I'll bet that they roll their eyes (or have a good chuckle) every once in a while when reading some of our posts. We can be a little over the top sometimes!

When can a non ssr member make ressies for this july?

The date our guide gave us is Feb 1st. This has been confirmed here by several members. However, I haven't seen anything in writing or on the DVC website.

We have Unit 3B, whatever that means, and I was told we could make reservations from Dec. 1st on. I was also told that, yes, non-SSR owners could book on Feb. 1st. I think I was given a June 7th opening date for our unit as well, but maybe it's not OFFICIAL until we get the letter....all very mysterious and exciting! Can't wait!

Thats great. We have 1C and I want to make 2 reservations for the fall. I have a feeling that Dec 1 is going to be a very busy day for the Phone Reps at Disney
