42 days... 6 weeks today I will be there.... Not sure whether to give up searching for a BOG ADR, might just go for lunch!

I have decided the same,, may as well enjoy lunch there, more variety for the little ones anyway.

If you haven't stayed on-site before I'd go with regular check in. I get the feeling OC is very rushed and you have no room to ask questions and make requests.

Just finished applying a bunch of Disney gift cards to our balance. Awesome. So glad I didn't PIF before Christmas afterall! Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Within the past few days decided to do a trip Feb 9-16. Staying offsite. This will be our third trip (in addition to 2009 & 2011) during DS's Mardi Gras vacation.

So much to plan ... and so little time.

Christmas was a small affair at home. We didn't exchange big gifts between me and my mom but while watching the parade both of us would say: look, there is your Christmas present! My mom was so happy she cried, she's been waiting forward for this trip for so long and the parade was just what the perfect ending to our Chistmas!

It's amazing how much of our trip planning this time is on the drive down instead of just what we're going to do when we get there. We're going to stop off for lunch with our niece. After visiting with her and her boyfriend we'll continue driving and then stop off for dinner with my in-laws. The second day of driving we'll meet up with another niece and visit Arlington National Cemetery with her to visit her father's grave. Then when we finally get to Florida we'll probably detour over to the coast where I was brought up, and visit more family there before driving to Disney that night.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I enjoy time with my family but it's nice when they leave. We live a very peaceful life in the pines in Colorado. Throw in 5 people and 2 more dogs, not so peaceful! Good and bad news that my dishwasher top rack broke. I've been wanting a new one for quite a while but didnt have a reason to get one. Now I do, but bad timing! still saving for our vacation

Well, our Christmas surprise was kind of a bust. I can't blame them - everyone in the family buys so much stuff they were just on present overload.

I didn't even get a 'yay!' with the big reveal! Earlier that week my Disney debit card came and when I opened it my oldest screamed and jumped up and down.... where was that yesterday?!

Oh well. I'M EXCITED. So there.

I'm sure they'll get more and more excited as time goes on and we keep talking about it!

That must have been really disappointing. I think you are right, though, about the kids being overwhelmed by all the other presents.
