I'm really distracted by the holidays. I feel so behind, i can't even think about how many days til vacation.....wait a sec, 53!!!!!

Yes I can't believe that I am going to tell the kids in 2 weeks that somehow makes it real!

But that countdown chain I made the kids LOOKS WAY TO LONG!!!! But at the same time I feel like I am running out of time fast

Don't even remind me of packing! i've been eyeing up my luggage for a while and mentally packing for the past 2 months!!

I know what you mean. all my money from my 2nd job was spent on non-vacation stuff and i have little saved for it. 6 weeks to save, that's 3 paychecks left. is that all??!! no, 5, i didnt count this Friday and the Friday before we leave!! I have 5 paychecks til vacation!!

I think much of my packing will be putting my credit card in my wallet. I don't know how much of my warm weather clothing fits well. We're driving down so stocking up on t-shirts and perhaps even a summer-weight sweatshirt at Downtown Disney might be the best plan.

I went to put something in my "Disney Box" yesterday and it's about full. I think I better start going through that since we're flying and I have limited luggage space!

Good thing I finished reading and saw where you said you were flying. My suggestion was to get a larger box.

Maybe you can pack in space bags to give yourself more room for goodies.

Times needs to hustle the heck up!

I found 2 dolls at Meijer today that I've been looking for forever... and naturally I had my oldest DD with me and couldn't grab them. You know they'll be gone when I go back, too

We do that. We are going with close family friends so whenever we see them, we ask their 14yr old how many days. She and I are in serious countdown mode.

Having to wait for the 10 day forecast to pack will drive me nuts. I have two lists ready one for warm and the other for cold weather. I just need to know which will I pack!

Our last Feb trip went from warm to cool weather. Good thing we packed a little of both. I like to check out the 10 day forecast as well so I can pack but the weather in Florida is constantly changing in Feb.

Does everyone realize that those of us giving a Christmas surprise only have TWO WEEKS until the big reveal?! Think about it - not this next Tuesday... but the Tuesday after that! And then after that it'll be an additional 2 weeks down!

I like the way I think... jump on my train people!

At least after Christmas I can stop for February, or in February, or at February

I know. 52D. But in my mind, 2D. We surprise DD this Saturday after we do the Polar Express. Then Christmas, 13D, letter from Mickey to go along with Polar Express letter. Then I'll be approaching the 30D mark, which brings some more reservations (Cake, groceries, etc). So more planning, more realistic. Then I start my packing, have Ultimate Packing list saved. No need to mention (to DH) that I have been secretly buying items/gifts for the last month. This keeps me excited. Then I post and can see countdown ticker.

1st trip to Disney. However, several trips to Orlanda in February. Pack for both. 10D weather is good, but generally cool mornings & evenings and warmer in the middle of the day. Also, take into account where you live. It's usually in the 20s/30s where I live, sometimes snow. So 50s/60s FL, I'm wearing shorts and long sleeves shirt. Light weight jacket at night, maybe.

Planning, dreaming and anticipating are some of my favorite activities.

So much to do. So little time.

I have the same favorite activities. 52D. Yes, very little time. Every time I think I'm done, I'll think of something else. I noticed with the holidays, stores have been low on travel items. Stores transition after holidays and are sometimes slow to restock (Dept. stores, drugstores, Target/Walmart, etc.) So I figure waiting until January might not be good. So I'm now buying these items as I see them. Our trip is for 9D, this is the longest we've been on vacation. So packing for this long is new to me.

I love wearing dresses and they make a good portion of my packing list. The good thing about dresses is that you can dress them up or down. A sweater and stockings will warm up a dress and it's easy peasy to take them off if the weather starts to get too hot.
