*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

This HAS NOT been a good day.

*sighs*

It's alright I guess. It would be really bad with we rode it and then spent the rest of our days there complaining about animatronics not working, music not being pumped throughout the ride and every other thing people have been complaining for the past few months.

Maybe if I repeat this a thousand times I'll convince myself? No, yeah, didn't think so.

Silver lining department here: I'm kind of glad in a way. My wife loves it and we always end up having to cut our visit short because she wants to ride it midday and then gets soaked.

does anyone know if anything else will be shut down yet? is it too soon to know most of em? i havent been to disney in 12 yrs and was looking forward to SM. :(

Hi all! We will be going Feb 15-17 at AKV and then over to the BWV 2/17-2/25..... Can't wait! Bummed about Splash but glad BTMRR will be going this year though! Crossing fingers for the same great weather we had 2/2013!:thumbsup2

We're tentatively going Feb 24-Mar 2. I do have a question about EMH. There seems to be some discrepancies between Dis and the official Disney site when it comes to EMH's during our stay. Is this normal? What source should I use to plan around?

Hi, may I join in?? We are going Mardi Gras week... booked our flights today. We'll be staying at Windsor Hills. We leave Friday February 8 and return February 16. Can't wait! :cool1: Oh and DH and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary that week also!! On Valentine's day!

I'm also interested in joining a photopass share if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Is there a way, ANY WAY to just skip November, December and January altogether? Those new pictures of the Fantasyland expansion is driving me bonkers, I'm SO excited!

I already made a list of purchases from that amazing gift shop and that includes:

- EVERYTHING IN SITE

Sorry, I might be a tad out of control right now!

We moved from AoA to POR to take advantage of the S/P/D discount for our trip.

Traded a Little Mermaid room for a Royal one!:goodvibes

Nice! That's a great upgrade! The royal rooms look awesome!!!!

So happy to be joining this thread! We will be at POFQ Feb. 2-8! It is my 3rd trip to Disney but first stay at POFQ. I have a 3yr old princess who shares my excitement, the rest of my family just thinks I'm nuts.:rotfl: I'm glad to find other people here on the boards who can relate!

Your family sounds like mine:lmao: Even my boss thinks I'm a little over the top when it comes to Disney:rotfl2:

THIS is why I just booked for February!! So add me to the list. We are DVC'ers who are out of points (trying not to borrow), so with the new special that was added and all those photos floating around everywhere, we couldn't stand it. So we just booked ASMo 2/25 - 3/2!! I know absolutely nothing about this resort. Can anyone fill me in?

Also, can anyone fill me in on the weather for February? I did ZERO research, just booked. HAHAHA. :rotfl2: I'm so giddy.

Well folks I got the free dining/ room discount PIN code and it's good for my February dates. I was super excited to take 1200 off our trip total! But (with me there is always a but:rolleyes2) then I started the scheming and the planning to change resorts. Afterall we have AP's and the 35 percent off at AKL or BWI is looking really appealing!

Alas, it still would end up costing more than 7 nights with free ddp at POR and the bottom line for this trip is COST. We went in May and August this year (darn AP's) and there is ZERO reason to spend more money on this trip.
So here is my solemn vow that I will stick with POR. I LOVED Port Orleans when we stayed in 2010 and have been wanting to go back. I might consider POFQ instead since I have never stayed there but I am NOT upgrading to a deluxe. I promise.

So there you have it. I've put it out there and now I have to stick to my word. Pin code for free dining can be booked until late February but I really should call and put down my deposit so that it doesn't fill up.
Anyone have any opinions on POR vs. POFQ? We love the pool at POR but I doubt we'll use it in February and POFQ looks like it might be a little quieter.

I'd go with POFQ. The pool is lovely (we were there end Feb / early March this year and had quite a few days warm enough to use the pool - fingers crossed for a repeat of that weather in 2013) which is a great perk in itself, but overall I think the resort just has more charm. Its smaller too, which is handy. The buses start and stop first at FQ if they are shared, and it didn't take us more than 20 minutes to get to any of the parks. I loved it. But then POR was just too big for me, I prefer a cosier resort.

Wherever you end up going I'm sure you will have a wonderful time - enjoy :thumbsup2
