I just booked CP at Teppanyaki, and the CM told me the name will change Aug 20 when the restaurant reopens post-rehab. I couldn't bring myself to make her repeat the spelling, but it sounded something like Teppan Edo? Anyone else hear about this change?

Yes, the Polynesian IPO informed of this change when they made my ADR for me.

We've had Teppanyaki booked for a while now for 10/31. Probably a stupid questions, but will the ADR system update the ressies in the computer due to the name change?

It'll be pretty ulgy if ADRS are lost in the system due to database issues from a name change.

I booked it for the CP and when my TA sent me the info she spelled it Teppanedo. So, you are right, it's just one word, I think.

Thanks, I have ADR's during Sept. I really hope it will still be the same seating format with the chef cooking in front of each table. This isn't supposed to change is it?

I'm wondering what will happen to the existing ADR's as well..... Anyone ?

Ohio Gozaimasu (Good Morning) . . .

1) Teppanyaki was so named for the style of table-cooking
. . . teppan = iron plate (usually at least 1" thick)
. . . yaki = grilled
2) Tappan Edo
. . . teppan = iron plate
. . . edo = door-to-the-bay (thus the historical name for Tokyo)
3) Edo is also common term for a Tokyo style of food
4) I know they are putting more emphasis on sushi.

I made my CP reservation today, not a word was said to me about any changes, so that would make me think all is well with ADR's. I had a existing one there, that I had to cancel to make the new one.

The nice CM I spoke with today heard that there may be window seating for the fireworks in Japan. She wasn't sure, though.

That would be kind of nice, wouldn't it?

I specifically booked ADR a few months ago for late August for the filet and lobster. Does anyone know if they will still have those types of offerings when they reopen?
