"New Moon" Trailer!!!!

Well...it seems they're being loyal to the book. The acting still looks painfully wooden, and the wolf effects very cartoony (but so did the early trailer stuff for Ironman and the like. They'll hopefully clean it up in post).

On the plua side, the film has a brighter look. I was put off by the "bluish" tinge to the first one.

I really thought the Jacob to wolf transformation was very cool... and I just LOVE Laurent! Never did care for the actress who plays Bella, but that's just personal preference. :)

I agree, it would HAVE to be better than the Twilight movie.

I never cared for the person they chose to play Bella either. But I hope this one is good!!

Not sure why all the hate for Twilight. I thought it was very good.:confused3

-they were a lot of main parts left out of the plot
-the acting was horrible, I hope Kristen Stewart took lessons before New Moon
-the special effects were cheap

:thumbsup2

The trailer looks pretty good...just wish they would have re-cast Bella. Kristen Stewart is awful!!!

The Trailer looks good thus far to me! I hope they stick close to the book. I love the twilight saga and was kind of bummed that the first movie was off from the book. I thought it was just an ok movie nothing great but ok. Hopefully with a new director we will see a better movie!

I don't get all the hate toward the movie, either. I liked it. What parts were left out? I read the book and thought the movie was pretty true to it. My daughter LOVES the movie. Thanks to her, I've seen it about 15 times. She wants to marry Edward Cullen. :lovestruc Personally, I'd take Jacob over Edward. ;)

I don't like Kristen Stewert, either. But then again, I don't like Bella much so that might have something to do with it. The men make this movie (the book too, really). Eye candy galore! I can't wait for it to come out in November.

ummmmmmmmmm... have to think now since I only saw the movie once

-the scene in bio class where they do the blood typing, this was important to the fact that Edward couldnt be around blood

Thats the big one that really got me. Why would they add the field trip and cut that out?

Not to start a debate AGAIN...but since it was asked:

The acting was absolutely, hilariously BAD.

The special effects were silly (the sparkling and the cheap wire-fighting effects).

The blue saturated look was done poorly.

The music/soundtrack was abominable (IMHO of course).

But mostly it was very poorly acted...but then again, it was coming from a poorly written book. Please note, the story in the book was good. Even compelling! I just think it was lacking.

Yep, I forgot about that part.

I was just happy they didn't add things that weren't in the book. Or make major changes. I hate when Hollywood gets it's hands on a great book and changes everything for the movie. That didn't happen here and I was glad to see it.

It looked awkward. Kristen and Rob need acting lessons.

Also, the special effects were super cheesy. I know they're on a limited budget and everything, but come on.

Why did they change the plot? Bella's not supposed to find out Jacob's a wolf like that.

That's why I can't stand movie adaptations, they always mess the story up.

I agree that Twilight was pretty cheesy but hopefully New Moon will be better..

Nothing beats the Harry Potter movie coming out in July though!! :)

The sparkling is silly, period. Vampires do not sparkle! That is one part of the book that bugs the crap out of me. Why on earth would she make Edward sparkle? Ridiculous!

I didn't have a problem with the acting, except Bella looking like she was in pain through the whole thing. She's kind of a miserable character for someone in love, don't ya think? I like that they chose actors that were mostly unknown. I like the indy feel of the film. I like the soundtrack, too. It's much better than the manufactured pop music I expected for such a popular book. I thought it fit the feel of the movie perfectly. I even bought the soundtrack. My 12 year old daughter has listened to nothing else for weeks.

In short, I like the movie. A lot.

Different strokes, I guess.

But they did. The beginning scene in the movie took place in Arizona, but in the book it took place in washington.

And they added the whole Bio field trip scene

I don't remember the part where Edward flew Bella around from tree to tree in the book either. That part had me laughing in the movie.

Then there was Bella's shinny new Apple laptop and cell phone, vs. the slow, takes forever to warm up computer in the book. No big deal there though. Just something I noticed.

I love the books and am looking forward to seeing New Moon.

But that's tiny, especially the opening scene. It didn't mess with the plot whatsoever. All in all it was very true to the book. No movie will be 100% true, it's too hard to translate so many details to film.

The book is always better. Always.
