"New Moon" Trailer!!!!

Ok, Now I also liked the movie I thought it was ok but they did leave things I loved out of it and added things to it.

-They left out all of the conversations I love about Bella and Edward in the entire book before they realize they love each other. All the rides home, all the times they hung out in school. Now I know they have to condense but it happened too quick in the movie for me.
- The Blood Typing chapter was one of my favorites.
- The hospital scene was different too because Edward came in with Carlisle. Charlie was not in the room he was in the waiting room. Edward and Bella had a few interactions there.
-The Trip home from Port Angeles they never stopped because someone was attached he took her home so they had all of that interaction in the car which is where she truly told him she knew what he was and that she did not care.
-The meadow scene was cut and although they did show them lying in it there was a whole day at the meadow where they did tell each other they loved each other which I thought that at least should have been in the movie it was important to how their relationship progressed.
-The time she went to meet the Cullens. Rose and Emmett were not even there. She refused because she did not like Bella and Emmett was trying to talk her into being ok with it. She was there for the baseball scene but never said anything to bella. It was Alice who said I can smell her from across the field in a nice way or at least I took it in a nice way, not the way Rose said it in the movie.
-Then there was after James started the whole thing and Edward was trying to get Bella out of there. Alice and Emmett went with them and there was a whole everyone trying to convince Edward to fo back to Bella house conversation. Some good examples of Edwards personality there that I thought lacked in the movie. The house scene when they went back after they left Bella's house after she left Charlie was a tad different but not major.
-There was the whole Phoenix thing was different James made Bella go to her mom's house first, there was more days of them in the hotel and that is where her and Alice started forming their friendship which I love! More interaction with Jasper.
-The whole James knew Alice before she was a vamp. (but I was ok with that being gotten rid of, it was not explored in the book like I would have liked. They did mention it in New Moon a little but I wanted to hear more)
-Oh, I forgot there was a whole Chapter on Carlisle when she went to the house which gave his story. I know that isn't a big deal because we will get to Italy in New Moon but I liked it, but I can see why they did not put it in.
-Oh and there was a dance in the middle of the book and then the prom, the Cullens were all there. Alice helped Bella the entire day get ready and Victoria was NOT at the Prom.

Those are just what I can think of I am sure there was more differences but I don't know anymore.

I just want to say again I liked the movie!, and I know that it can only be so long but I would have liked to see MORE of at least Bella and Edward falling in love, and a little more of the details at least right. Plus, a little better acting. I don't know those are just my thoughts.

I really thought the Jacob to wolf transformation was very cool... and I just LOVE Laurent! Never did care for the actress who plays Bella, but that's just personal preference. :)

I agree I thought the wolf transformation was well done. I also think Kristin isn't right for the part of Bella, but who am I to say. Can't believe at my age I am caught up in this. :confused3:laughing:

Yep, I forgot about that part.

I was just happy they didn't add things that weren't in the book. Or make major changes. I hate when Hollywood gets it's hands on a great book and changes everything for the movie. That didn't happen here and I was glad to see it.

They did. They James, Victoria and Laurant were just there at the baseball game they did not kill anyone in Forks or the surrounding areas. They said in the book they last ate in Seattle. There was a bunch of other changes other than that. I have a post on this thread to the ones I remember.

I'm another liked the books hated the movie...
so they can only go up from there...

The acting is beyond bad…instead of struggling with their emotions all the actors come across looking constipated

And it just bothered me that Bella is paler then the vampires

OMG too funny! :rotfl::lmao: My husband said the same exact thing! He was telling my family about the movie (because my sister 14 wanted to watch it) and those were his exact words!:lmao::rotfl: I have to admit I agreed with it when I watched it again! :rotfl:

I did not read the book before the movie. However my best friend told me that I MUST read them. So I did and I LOVED THE BOOK!!! The movie was great but yes I agree about the whole Edward/Bella relationship they left too much out. They also have to adapt it to make the movie sellable so things will be different.

Also for you devout fans I feel New Moon is going to be VERY different from the book because of the success of the first movie and who was in it. I thought Robert Pattison did a very good job. Kristen Stewart, I don't like her personally and professionally because she plays the same part in every movie. I wish they could have cast someone else.

Also the soundtrack was AWESOME IMO. I can't wait for the next one!

Not to start a debate AGAIN...but since it was asked:

The acting was absolutely, hilariously BAD.

The special effects were silly (the sparkling and the cheap wire-fighting effects).

The blue saturated look was done poorly.

The music/soundtrack was abominable (IMHO of course).

But mostly it was very poorly acted...but then again, it was coming from a poorly written book. Please note, the story in the book was good. Even compelling! I just think it was lacking.

I thought the acting was just fine. Kristen Stewart was just Kristen Stewart. Rob Pattinson, I thought was really good.

I actually liked the soundtrack.

As for being real to the book, no movie is ever exactly like the book. If they were, the movie would be 5 hours long. I don't think they cut anything of vital importance from the film.

I think you'll be hard pressed to ever find anyone who prefers a film version of a book, if they've already read the book. But reading the book after seeing the film, can give you extra appreciation for both. Once you've read the book, you've already created in your mind what these characters look and sound like. No matter who they actors are, it won't meet your expectations.

It's been a while since I read New Moon...

About the trailer: I thought Jacob was already in wolf form when Bella first saw him (when Laurent was about to attack her). :confused3 Am I wrong?

He was he was with his pack so there was more than just Jake. Bella did not know he was a werewolf for a while in the book. But for the time aspect I can see why they did that, and in a way I kind of like that. But it does condense the book quiet a bit! I did read that the director is trying to keep it close to the book so I guess we will see when it comes out. Another part I noticed well, not on the trailer but when I saw photos of them filming Bella kisses Edward when she gets to him in Italy. They did not kiss until back in Forks. So that will be a little different too it looks like. Also I read that instead of the condition he will change her himself if she marries him he changes it to something else but have not heard what that compromise will be in the movie. That was a little strange to me too but we will see how it unfolds!

I do think they did cut too much of the Bella/Edward relationship a bit too much some of the most important times in their relationship was absent in the movie.

I read the books after I saw the film and I like the movie don't get me wrong but I still thought they could have added a bit more than they did and changed what they did include. I read the book because I liked the movie, I am glad I read them because I think they are great! I also like the movies and I am very much looking forward to this one! :thumbsup2

I just want to say I also read Lord of the Rings and I love the movies and the book too! So sometimes it does happen, I agree it is not often but sometimes a rare gem comes along!! :)

I agree with everyone else who liked the movie, but it was different from the book. I also am not a Kristin Stewart as Bella fan. She is so boring!

Didn't they also leave out the whole girl's choice dance saga? They just condensed it down to only prom.

For me...JURASSIC PARK.

For the uber-fans...fear not. The trailer spliced together a few different scenes. Jacob's transformation takes place during his confrontation w/Paul like in the book (as per Taylor Lautner in an interview). They just cut it together with the scene with Laurent. Look at Bella's clothes in the trailer. Different.

I guess my big beef with the TRAILER is that it should really showcase JACOB more. The second book is really about Bella and him. We only get a tiny peak at the very end...but maybe that's why they call it a teaser trailer!

I am SO excited for this! And wasn't Kristen Stewart's acceptance speech so awkward? Especially when she dropped the award haha :rotfl:

I didn't see the speech, but I think Kristen Stewart always seems a little odd.
