Finally, I think he´s on his way. Contractions are 8 min. apart and last for approx. 50 seconds. They´re strong and hurt, not anything like the BH I´ve been having loads of lately. Gonna stay home as long as I can and then go to L & D and see what they say...

Thanks for all the information Tasha! I think it may have been Braxton Hicks contractions since there were no other side effects.

Thanks everyone

Today we welcomed our 5th baby into the loving arms of his mother and father. Baby boy, Jökull Logi (actually means Glacier Flame) was born at 3:46 pm today. He weighes 4400 gr (don´t know how many lbs) and measures 53 cm. He was born in water and his birth could almost be considered "unassisted" although it was in a hospital. DH was with me in the water and we were the only people who touched him while he was being born. A perfect moment! The midwife took on the part of a photographer and did a perfect job We came home 6 hours later and are both doing amazingly well.

Hello! I haven't posted in a LONG time, but I thought since I'm still on the list, I'd update myself! I went to a 3D ultrasound and found out that I'm going to be having a baby boy! It was so amazing to see my little guy wiggling around. Everything is still going well and my Disney World plans for end of July - beginning of August are still on (for when I'm about 29 weeks along!) I think I've got to start training with more walks.

CONGRATULATIONS! It sounds like it went exactly as you would have wanted it... and living in the US, I can't fathom being home in 6 hours! What a wonderful day for you and your family!

If anyone is curious, that's 9.7 pounds!

As joyful as I was to announce I was expecting a 5th, I am sad to say that our little one is in heaven today.

I went to my first OB appt. yesterday and they ran a 3D ultrasound and that's when I found out. The baby was about 10 weeks old, looked perfectly normal, exept the heart was not beating. I've never miscarried before so this is all new to me.

Oh no I am deeply sorry to hear this! I miscarried last year and I know how heart wrenching it is. I will keep you in my thoughts as you go through this difficult time. Do not feel bad if you are more emotional about this loss than other people in your life. It is harder for them when they did not have it living inside of them.

I went in for my 12 week appointment. Up until this point, we haven't done anything "fun," but today was the day we would get to hear the heartbeat. The midwife had some trouble finding it with the doppler, so she brought in the portable ultrasound.

She found the baby right away, jumping around and with a strong heartbeat. I was so relieved and jokingly said "there's only one, right?" She said "Yep, just......wait a second....I think there's another one..."

My heart skipped about 10 beats, and DH got a little pale. Yep, there's 2. Both measure right at 12 weeks, and have great heartbeats (162 and 167).

We have no twins on either side in the last few generations, and we had no interventions, so this is a HUGE surprise. Huge. Still trying to digest it, but I'll be honest, I get a huge smile every time I think about the two little ones.
