new mom, stroller question, baby will be 8 months

I bought one that is super light weight and folds easily (the brand is escaping me), but TRU/BRU is having a $20 off the $99 regular price. We also bought a stroller fan. We'll be there in mid-September.

The GT has real tires where the city mini has plastic. The seat back height in the GT is also taller, seat a bit wider, and the weight limit in the GT is higher. Oh and the handlebar is adjustable on the GT. For us, the tires on our travel system wore out very quickly so real tires were a requirement for our normal usage.

Basically it kind of goes good, better, best with city mini, GT, and elite.

They're all good strollers for sure. The mini is a great value. They all fold the same as well.

We are about to buy a BabyJogger Vue. It's the same brand as the City Mini everyone loves but is a bit smaller and you can have the baby front or rear facing! Also has a large sun shade and is a bit cheaper than the Mini. We saw a video on youtube from a family with a 8 or 9 month old who used this stroller and raved about it. You can find them on Amazon etc cheaper than the MSRP

I picked the regular City Mini over the GT. My husband loved the GT because it felt more sturdy and better for rugged terrain, but I reminded him that I'd be using it at WDW, at the mall, and when we were really roughing it, on sidewalk paths at parks. The regular City Mini is fine for that, plus it's lighter. You'll appreciate it being a few pounds less when you're lifting it into the back of your car with your baby on your hip, and it's particularly nice when putting it on a tram in a WDW parking lot. I think I could handle a GT if I had to for our single stroller, but our double is also a City Mini, and I would be very discouraged if it were a GT.

It really depends how you're going to use it. The benefits of the GT may just end up being more of a hassle if you don't really need the GT.

thanks everyone. i'm going to go to my local babies r us and play with a city mini and see how it feels with a return of the transporter which i've never used and coupon i may be able to swing it.

i see city mini and city mini GT do u guys perfer one over the other? I noticed $100 differnces but only seems like it's for tougher terrians the GT?

Are you against renting one from either kingdom strollers or Apple strollers?
